IMO it just goes to show you how much we put 'scientists' on a pedestal. If you took the craziest loon on this site (cough Zakk Tull cough) and put him through University for his PhD, a few years later you'd have people quoting him as a credible source for proof that the world is run by shape changing lizard men.

Real scientists operate on the scientific method, and for a scientist, this guy doesn't seem remotely interested or concerned with factual data.

um, he has a Masters degree and not a PhD and he has zero reputation in the scientific community. Just watch the Big Bang Theory and how Sheldon treats Howard for an example of how scientists view people with ONLY Masters degrees.

As for the mini-solar system, yes we impacted a highly energetic part of space 15 years ago or so. The information of this has been posted here on and off for years. People just have very poor memories and can't remember what they read about two months ago let alone ten years ago.

I spend a lot of time in Western Australia and my friend who lives at Exmouth called me just a minute ago. He said that the locals in the town are all curious about the increase in people, traffic, aircraft etc. travelling to and from the Learmonth (Project Wormwood) Observatory, which is approx. 30 miles down the road. He estimates the people and goods and traffic has tripled over the last 10 days. Much of this has been via the Exmouth airport..

The voices are similiar, not the same. The OP post is either a cut and paste from a very long time ago, or it is an imposter who sounds close to Mccanney but no cigar.

The earth stays still, never moves, meteors don't happen and hurt people, the moon is an optical illusion, the Russian comet and the destruction of 1500 sq miles of forests never happened in 1909, and of course that big hole in the Arizona desert has always been there. Katrina never happened, there was no blizzard last week in New York, etc, etc.

The "real scientists" you speak of are the same people who postulate and insert their own theories into exaplaining what can not be proven as if it were fact and then redicule and discredit anyone who disagrees with their completely made up "facts".

A perfect example of this is so-called "dark matter". It is what they invented to explain why the facts of their big bang theory don't mathmatically add up. The universe is not expanding at the rate that the math of observable objects says it should, so they called the difference in their faulty equasion "dark matter" to make it work. They cling to their big bang theory like a religion, but they redicule and discredit anyone who puts forth any hyposthesis that challenges the big bang theory as an unscientific nut case.

An education doesn't make you smarter. It just fills your head with information. If that information is wrong, then you are just as wrong as the next person who doesn't have a PhD.

Your ignorance is showing. For one you base everything you believe about McCanney from a 10 minute clip, which by the way was redacted you can hear where some of his words were cut out, maybe spiced? Secondly instead of reading his books and developing a critical point by point counterargument you are lazy and criticize the 10 minute sound bite.

As for your last comment, McCanney is very interested in the factual data. His books are loaded with real data from NASA related to comets and how their own data never correlates with their own theories.

Perhaps for someone familiar with astronomy. But McCanney wrote that to help people unfamiliar with astronomy in producing a new calendar for growing cycles in case there was a close encounter with a large comet that titled our earth on its axis. Which by the way has happened in earth's past.
