He sells his books to fund his work.. he is not affiliated with any government program.. he is not owned by any scientific community .. who are run by the government, hence he is free to speak the truth about science and the universe.. he doesnt have to cow tow to anyone.. downside, he has to make a living somehow.. why dont you go to work for free and give your time to your boss for nothing..
