Blindsided, Planet X Passes in 2003-Earthchanges!" and claim it was the culmination of his "10 years of research" about Planet X, when in fact Hazlewood had STOLEN all of his "research" from Zeta Talk and didn't bother to mention that little caveat in the body of his book except for one or two FOOTNOTES that referred to urls from Zeta Talk (how generous of him!).

Around Winter of 2002/2003, Hazlewood had teamed up with yet another astronomy "expert" on Planet X by the name of 'Professor' James McCanney. After teaming up with McCanney, Hazlewood then said something really strange. He did a 180 reversal about 'his' prediction concerting the close passage of Planet X. Hazlewood now claimed the date of its passage in 2003 was a scam, the title of his "10 year" researched book notwithstanding!

Hazlewood now was claiming that Nancy of Zeta Talk and the May/June 2003 passage was NASA disinformation and that McCanney had the REAL scoop on Planet X. McCanney seems to feel that the May/June 2003 Planet X setup was a 'cry wolf' scenario to put the public off guard when the REAL danger of planet sized incoming comets and solar flares was the problem we had to worry about. McCanney may have pushed up the passage date for Planet X to another year; I don't know for sure as I haven't read his books, but I have a hunch the the 'story line' is moving in that direction. I've only heard one radio interview so far with him and Hazlewood on a local university FM station in January 2003. McCanney has done a few interview shows with Art Bell and no name since that time. Maybe some of you who are reading this can send me a quick summary of McCanney's position. My gut feeling is that Hazlewood was a minor minion who was used to steer our attention to McCanney. McCanney, in turn, is as much a tool for promoting fear and apprehension as Hazlewood (and Zeta Talk) was. For McCanney, the focus has shifted to giant comets and solar flares, but the bottom line is the same:
