Why add beautiful to the title? What if she wasn't beautiful? Would we view her husband's actions any differently? Regardless of beauty domestic violence is domestic violence it hurts less than attractive women and attractive women the same.

Some go into debt doing it. No wonder no one from "out there" wants to visit us. Take a deep breath and calm down. You are right about most of what you say. Men have been choking women for thousands of years but in our society, which is media driven, when a TV personality does it, it's big news. No one wants to read about a woman who works as a secretary, or a dishwasher in a restaurant being beaten by her boyfriend, but touch her with a magic wand and make her a movie star and everyone wants to read about it. I think it's a great lesson though, which shows that "celebrities" are really not much different from the rest of us in how they live their lives.
