On a lighter note (no pun intended): I have found a great way to lose weight. The reason it works, I believe, is that it mimics the eating habits of animals in the wild, as they go for periods of time without eating. It's referred to as "alternate day fasting," although you don't really fast, just restrict calories every other day (that's how I do it, others have different configurations). BUT...because you know you can eat anything you want the next day, psychologically you can deal with it.

I've lost 12 pounds, and I continue to lose steadily every week, pretty much. One thing that might not appeal to people is that the loss is pretty slow. But, from what I understand, that's the better way to lose anyway.

Here's a link, if anyone's interested. Oh, I forgot, this diet, according to clinical research, also significantly lengthens life, seriously reduces inflammation (which is at the root of many disease processes), and has been known to help people get rid of asthma. So there's that!

This guy's one drawback is that he still has a few old-fashioned ideas, like margarine is better than butter, and diet products are good for "Down Days" (the day you reduce calories). So ignore that, and try to eat as naturally as you can (look back at the article OP has so helpfully provided!). I also have one "Junk Food Day" a week, so I don't get too tempted the other days.

I'm giving the link that will allow you to find out what the best plan for you is. You just put in your vital statistics. This plan has been out for a while, and is also called "Eat Stop Eat," intermittant fasting, and some other things. Bottom line: Lots of people are having lots of success with it!

the biggest lie about nutrition is that ingesting matter "nourishes" the body somehow and gives it "energy". What a joke...

This has always been just a stupid theory. It is built upon some molecular biology assumptions which lies upon the even shakier assumptions of particle physics. Nobody has ever proven that we actually break down and absorb food and it leads to some beneficial effect on the body.

Actually the truth is that food hijacks the body's energy reserves for processing / elimination , and that produces a sedative effect on us, which feels good / relieving like any psychotropic drug would. We are all basically drug addicits. Food is just another category of drugs. They come in all sizes and colors with varying strengths. That's basically the conclusion I came after several years studying the effects of food on my body. Nobody has ever got a single ounce of energy from eating solid food.

OK, well some of that makes no sense and is in-practical.

such as,.
Dont use vegetable oils. well how the hell am i supposed to cook then.

Dont eat wheat. Well how the hell am i supposed to make a sandwitch then.

Dont have a high carb diet. Well how the hell am i going to afford to eat meat all the time then!

Also a lot of it makes no sense to me. I am not fat, my diet never makes me fat, and i dont watch what i eat.
I eat eggs, butter, beacon, cheese, and whatever is going. I eat pasta a lot and that is high carb.
Im thin, always have been and my weight never changes, im 31 yrs old.


So i guess i'll carry on. I dont eat supermarket shit like ready meals. i just eat real food like, meat, eggs, butter, cheese, bread(carboard shit but what alternative is there to bread), bananas, tomatos and other stuff that goes into pasta. I dont eat sugar i use honey instead.

I also dont bother putting any spread on my sandwiches like margarine or butter, never have done ever, im too lazy.

Bottom line is im thin and healthy. I put it down to body type, and that everybody type can adapt to different diets based upon gentic ancestory and geographic location.

If you can find it, eat rye bread, not wheat. Read the bread labels.

To get protein, you don't have to eat meat all the time. Google "Protein foods" for substitutes, and eat meat a couple or three times a week.

If you quit carbs you wont feel hungry or countless other things you feel now everyday and think its normal.

The cravings for a sandwich will go away so the question how to make a sandwich wont even be there.

Without wheat and carbs your brain will function a 100% better on ketones. More energy, awareness, focus, productiveness, all these things automatically happen to you when in Ketosis. They leave the moment any carbs enter your body.

I liked this article as it points out to the main errors


do not eat gluten,(this rule applies not for all)
do not cook with vegetable oils,
eat eggs(in general eggs should be eaten only raw)
put more fat into your diet
less carbs


great but it lacks some information regarding gmo, fluoride, pesticides, preservatives, konservatives, trans fat (I'm not sure about the spelling) which are deadly for humans, so even a good food will be bad if it has one of those ingredients.


Cook with saturated fats - coconut, palm oils or animal fats (pig fat is great!)
saturated fats are more stable for cooking they do not oxides on high temperatures

less carb would simple mean less simple carbs and there are two types of carbs: simple and complex, simple are sugars mostly, complex whole foods

but most importantly it forgot to mention every body is different which why this diet won't work for everyone!

In my opinion, most important thing is not a diet, as there are prime examples of people with shitty diets that look and feel great. The most important thing is balance between your chakras or energies or whatever you call them(that's right we are energy beings!) so if there is balance, 99% of time it won't matter what food you had, of course it will be hard to have balanced chakras with out good diet, as it plays a big part of reaching spiritual awakening

I have a number of friend's that have went on statin drugs to lower there cholesterol. I try to tell them the cholesterol thing is BS & they should check the side effects, like it will eat there brain.

nope, actually what kills you when you stop eating are the food leftovers.

You don't die from lack of food; you die from food intoxication because of the food rotting in your stomach and contaminating the bloodstream.

When you stop eating the digestive cycle also stops, and if your body doesn't have enough energy to get rid of the toxic leftovers , then you die from poisoning. You see, without the constant stimulus of ingesting food to push / force the previous meal out from the body, your body enters a battle against a poisonous rotting mass that won't come out from gravity alone.

Some people do fine with carbs. People have been eating bread at least since bible times so I think some people can handle it. I just don't think there is a one size fits all. Some people are high protein people and some are high carb. Eat what makes you feel better.

The sites main flaw is putting everyone into one catagory as if the human body is the same throughout the world. thats not true, biological life is very adaptable and it does not take thousands of years.
Eskimos have adapted big time to their diets of raw fish, extreme cold, and darkness for half the year. fundamental processes of the body have changed in them, such as their blood not rushing away from extremties like hands and feet, during the cold. This is a major change, and they adapted in just a few generations maybe even less.

Not a good article. I'm not going all the way into it, but the part about fats and grains are especially wrong. You don't want saturated or trans fats, you want to stick to mono and polyunsaturated fats, which are high in DHAs (Omega fatty acids). Stick to the good oils and fats. The eggs part is right, it is loaded with HDL, the good cholesterol, which is required for testosterone production. Bread is what is so unhealthy for you, unless you stick to whole wheat. There is a TON of sugar in other types of breads. Another big misconception, its sugar that makes you obese more than it is fats, and I think that was part of the article's main idea, they just didn't present it well at all.

I am thin, middle aged and healthy and love my carbs. Won't ever be giving them up. Ever. My mom is almost 90 and eats carbs and all sorts of stuff people would consider unhealthy. Mainly a very southern American diet. She was never fat and just watched how much she ate. Has never been really sick and can run circles around me although she does have to rest a bit more these days. Just be happy with what you are eating and eat it with a good attitude. Stress is the main killer and not just what we are or are not eating. Go have a brownie.:0)
