This crap is already over here. It's so bad in northwest Ohio that the doctors are telling us to stay at home and take regular flu meds. I've had it for 5 days now and my chest just keeps burning. This is not a joke...I called the docs to make an appointment only for them to tell me I had the "influenza" going around. They said it's highly contagious and they will only have me come in if I still have it after 10 days. My mother and brother have had this for over a week now and they say the burning cough is the worst part.

Hope you're right. But they say this is SARS-like, not SARS. If does prove to be super contagious, a 50% fatality rate is very doomy indeed.

Another SARS-like virus casualty in Saudi Arabia

GENEVA - Another person suffering from a SARS-like virus has died in Saudi Arabia, the World Health Organization said Thursday, bringing the worldwide number of fatalities from the mystery illness to seven.

This brings to 13 the number of cases of the virus that have so far been reported to the WHO since it was first detected in the middle of last year, with six previous fatalities -- three in Saudi Arabia, two in Jordan and one in Britain.
