What do you mean by "obsesses"?

Don't you let the mind go?

You haven't answered my question though.

"""anything one obsesses on can pose a risk"""

What does obsession mean in terms of meditation.

And how it could be "dangerous"?

Re: Transcendental Meditation from one insider's point of view
Hatha Yoga Asanas (physical postures),
and Pranayama (breathing exercises),
as presented by the TM organization.

Now don't laugh, because here I will show two of the official instruction pages provided by the TM organization to experienced practitioners during special courses or training.

It is sketched and printed in a most primitive way, unlike their tons of elegant and sophisticated literature all bordered with gold leaf which they present for promotion.

But the primitive printing is ok by me, because the teaching of these postures is personal, by an experienced teacher, so these pages only act as reminders of what one has already learned directly from the instructor. I imagine that they have better quality hand-out materials and maybe video now.

Someone already familiar with Hatha Yoga will probably understand it all pretty easily, but those not familiar with hatha would require further instruction, which I will get to later.
