I find aminos and Monster Rehab tea work best for me. Don't need anything else.

Here's my amino acid thread: Thread: Unhappy? Are You Ready to Feel Great?!! The Mood Cure: Amino Acids and Their Incredible Impact on Moods (Page 4)

And here are the Monster Rehab ingredients: [link to www.monsterenergy.com]

Never get jacked or jittery on caffeine with Monster Rehab like I used to with coffee. Just clean, clear, crisp high energy and clarity that lasts about 1/2 the day per can.

I thought about trying nootropics I found on Amazon, but did not feel the research into its safety was there yet. Not willing to be a guinea pig and inadvertently end up screwing up my neural wiring.

Interestingly, OP, first you mention no side effects, then you mention in a follow-up post about doing "extensive research" and taking "safety precautions" prior to trying them.

There are always unknowns with any substance we put in our body -- particularly the newer, more exotic stuff. I'll let courageous folks like you experiment on yourselves for a while and let a few peer-reviewed safety studies come out before I decide to try it out myself.

Good luck! I hope you don't end up like those folks on Limitless after a few years! ;)

I was taking piracetam and choline bitartrate until yesterday when i ran out of gel caps to fill.
How do people take their piracetam? I tried mixing it in a drink but the taste heavily disagreed with me.

O.K., if you are on the #1 Conspiracy site on the internet you should also be interested in Nootropics! (is there a ranking somewhere? Top 5? Top 10?) I would also argue that this forum rivals that of Bodybuilding.com and shroomery.org for depth and breadth of posts and subjects.

Seriously, think about it: If there was a pill that had absolutely zero side effects, was relatively inexpensive, and would allow your mind to just 'click' faster would you take it? I find Piracetam and Choline stacks really improve my sociability. I have never exactly been shy, but I am not a Type A/Car Salesman type. But with Piracetam I feel thoughts and words just flow and I find myself often captivating audiences- whether it is a one-on-one convo, or I am on stage.

The last couple of years the internet has really been synthesizing into what it is meant to be.

GLP, bb.com, 4chan, etc., are all merging into a rapid information distribution network with the best ideas rising to the top.

These are the end of days for the old world order usurers.

Re: ====----____The Nootropics Thread!____-----====
For the last 4 weeks or so, I have been taking:

~500-750mg Aniracetam
~100-200mg Pramiracetam
~100-200mg Picamilon

Usually twice a day.

I have been taking Sunflower Lecithin for my choline before I started this. Anywhere from 600-1000mg of choline a day.

I have to say, I'm quite impressed. Unfortunately for me, I am in the midst of a weed binge (hopefully last time). When I smoke weed, I am quite retarded. I get ADD like nothing else and can't finish a sentence without thinking a different string of thoughts. These nootropics have alleviated MOST of those symptoms, and I can't wait to see what they do when I'm off the weed.

Nootropics aren't the only thing I take however. I take about 2 teaspoons of raw powder:

Cordyceps
Fo-Ti
Turmeric
Bacopa

Dragon Herbs: Tongkat Ali, Goji LBP-40, and Tonic Alchemy

So there's a lot going on here.

I felt the same exact way, and there really is not one single website that clearly explains NOOTROPICS in an interesting, easily understood form. Perhaps because there are so many different types of Nootropics, and there are so many different sub-categories which fall under the Nootropics umbrella.

I always find that when dealing with pharmaceuticals, plants & herbs, and mind-altering substances, erowid.org has excellent information. The most useful part of that website, imntbho, is the Experience vault, with reports written by people who have actually ingested the substance, and describe their experience.

If you ran out of gelcaps...hmmm...I suppose I would recommend "parachuting" the piracetam. Take one square of toilet paper, and separate it into one-ply. Then rip it in half or in 1/4 and add some powder, fold it up, and swallow with a giant gulp of water.

I forget which -racetam family member it was....either Oxiracetam or Noopept has a very sweet taste to it. In fact, I would not pack it into empty capsules, but I would stir it into a glass of water, and it would dissolve fully, and sweeten the water almost as if it were Crystal Light or some other powdered drink mix. The water remained clear. Anybody help on this? Would that be the Oxiracetam or the Noopept?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11736589

I take Nuvigil, 150mgs. It is the newest form of Provigil. I was taking 250 but I'd be up for 2 days!

It makes you feel "speedy", if you don't like that you won't like this. It is also an expensive drug, I pay $50 co-pay for a 30 day supply. Due to the hyper effects, I take it very rarely and only when I absolutely need it so 30 pills lasts me a long time.

Edit: OP's post on nootropics made me immediately think of Nuvigil - but it sounds like nootropics don't have that amphetamine-like effect and seem a much safer option for that reason alone. Plus, no prescription.

I personally dont agree with drugs that are chemically based/named.

Some cool stuff off the top of my head:

Gingko Biloba - For your blood circulation in brain. Helps the neurons to fire faster and form thoughts quicker. Mild.

Valerian root - Great for relaxtion if you are trying to fall asleep.

St Johns Wort- Like the daytime Valerian Root. Mild though.

Kratom - The natural, legal opiate. Mild to very strong depending on dosage. Amazingly beneficial for any kind of body aches and pains, sleeping problems, restlessness.

Re: ====----____The Nootropics Thread!____-----====
Interesting thread OP..

Only thing that would be a concern for long term effects of keeping one's mind sharp and firing using these concentrated supplements is the cascadal effects on the adrenal stress response system.

You fire up the hypothalamus...the pituitary will wanna dance and invite the thyroid and adrenals for a tango too.

It's fun for a few years and i agree the energy is incomparable to other stimulants most folk use..but then when that kind of stimulation is stopped, you'll sink like a lead weight into hypotrytophan hell. You wind up using them daily for years, as you attest to.

But stimulation is stimulation whether chemically aimed at the intellectual or physical body system - the adrenal stress response system responds to stimulation as 'stress' (whether it is GOOD 'stress' or BAD stress)..

It would be wise to rotate days on and off with these compounds, while supplementing a good non-synthetic B complex with high B5, B6, 2Gram vit C, omega 3,6 & zinc to preserve strong adrenal function, coupled with selenium and kelp for the thyroid integrity.

If you embark on nootropics while endocrinologically challenged you'll possibly find you have paradoxical reactions to those advertised and experienced by everyone else.

They certainly have their advantages and should be used with certain conditions instead of poisonous pharmaceuticals, but there are also instances they should be used with caution, if at all.
