Before we breed and fill the galaxy with our own, unique brand of violent, self righteous, god-given pathogens. Maybe, after we are all gone, they can come back and start over. Racism, sexism, theologies of war and violence, environmental destruction, torture, rape, child abuse, animal cruelty... that is our human signature. That is what we have for the universe to consider. If intelligent life exists out there, it should observe us for a long time before it decides to embrace us. There are a handful of worthy souls, I suppose, that could form breeding pairs and restock...after the housecleaning. This experiment is failing miserably. Time to clean out the lab. |
