you need to return it to the exact location that you found it. Fence off that small section, sprinkle salt around it 's perimeter completely to create a closed circle, and put a do not disturb sign on it. Seriously.

I did not remove it...There are 5 of these plaques that I have found along the property...They are embedded in cement on top of a small wall that seems to go around the yard/fence line...

No...they seem to be aligned with the N...S...E...W...directions...the 5th one is at the end of the walkway heading toward the front porch...

Agreed...After reading your reply I remembered some of the history of this town that some of the older people talk a little about...It has a dark past...The town was built upon the deaths of many land owners.,,Those plaques could very well be for protection!
