Been Sick For A Month? Desperate? Body wont heal? Come in

I have NEVER been this sick. I have absolutely no stamina, pain in my chest, cough, low fever that's not considered a fever.. It's been awful. I can't believe how long it's been. I've been like this for about six weeks now.

The flu wont kill you but dehydration will. Eat cooked meat without spices and drink Gatorade. The stuff in your intestine is fuel for your body. Stay away from corn syrup. Tums with a meal will help also.

I keep the humidifier on all the time and it doesn't make a difference. I've had the same crap twice and I feel it coming on again. My son's pretty sick with it right now too. Ours is low grade fever, fatigue, productive cough (sometimes in spasms) and more thick snot than I've ever seen. Mine also turned into a sinus infection that won't go away despite weeks of antibiotics. The fever won't go away even when I feel okay otherwise...it's always there and has been for a month. I had a blood culture for bacteria and it was negative, fwiw.

I have seen these types of episodes occurring recently with my clients as well. I am a nutritionist. I recommend buying beta glucans by Immune Health Basics, and the immune builder by mushroom science. I would also recommend using higher doeses than is recommended for maintenance dosing. I would be taking 2g of the beta glucans at 2 tiems a day and immune builder twice a day in between meals at the recommended dose. It should help you get better quickly. If you want to add more strength to the effec then grab a vial of super echinacea by herb pharm and tincture it 2 times a day when you take your immune builder.

I'm not a paranoid person, but from a medical standpoint, I too have been sick for about 3 months now.

My symptoms include:

Sore Throat
Sinus Pressure in my front forehead, cheek bones
Coughing up phlegm , yellowish
Trouble staying asleep some nights, sleeping 12-15 hours some days
LOW ENERGY
Aching body
Stuffed Nose
Coughing
Wheezing



My symptoms lessened about 2 weeks ago, and in a few days came back FULL FORCE. This is really hard on my body. I've NEVER in my 26 years been sick for this long. I don't have health insurance.

Let me repeat, I'm NOT a paranoid person. I am just noticing the similarities between myself and my family, and others and their families on this thread, and it is INSANE.


My son was the first to get sick.
It also started 3 weeks for me.
My whole family also has it.

I dont get fevers, but my son had a fever, strangely, ON and OFF. Very weird. Nothing real high, just periods of running REAL hot and then back to normal. I did not take his temperature with a thermometer, didn't have one handy.

Been having the same thing for nine months now. Nasal congestion, perpetual feeling of an ear infection and horrible headaches. I never been sick for this long in my life..

About 7-8 years ago I got a really bad cold/flu
It lasted at least 4 weeks and about 6 weeks before I felt it was completely gone. At it's peak I had to lean foreward and the snot would just keep pouring out of my nose. I thought I was going to die.
Since then I haven't really had a cold that caused me to cough or nasal congestion and mucus at all. Rather disturbing.
At first I attributed it to moving away from parents, avoiding grandchildren, and living on my own. But theres something else to it.

Now I feel the symptoms start
irritability then a headache then random sneezing and progressing to a sore throat.
In the past after this about 2-3 days later the congestion would start in my sinuses and work it's way down to my lungs until I was completly sick and coughing. Sometimes I could tell it was going down through my digestive tract as well.
but I don't progress past the first stages anymore, and it kind-of goes away.

However now every time I go out to a public area, shopping, transit, meeting, social occasion ect. When i get home I feel like a cold is comming on. I get stuffy and sneeze and a bit of a sore throat. But then it goes away and doesn't turn into a cold anymore.

I got the ful shot about 4 years ago out of fear, but it hasn't really changed anything I was like this before I got it.

Whenever I lay down to sleep my nose plugs up and the airways constrict. I attribute this mostly to the damned Dog and before that cats, but I don't feel any allergies unless I lay down to sleep.

I just want to avoid all contact with society and hope my immune system doesn't get caught off guard.

I'm sorry you and your little one are so sick. For you I would suggest going to a fish store and getting Levaquin
or the equivalent. It is the same thing people use, only they put it in fish tanks. You should take it for 10 days. I wouldn't give it to your son because I would be afraid of the doses.

I have it. I'm 22 and have been sick for about 4-5 weeks. I feel fine, but my nose is runny. I went swimming a few days ago, and that seemed to help (figured the chlorine killed the bug), but it came back. I got the flu shot. I've never been sick this long before, and I've never gotten the flu shot before. Nothing seems to cure it, I get enough vitamin C but am probably vitamin D deficient due to the season.
