We actually found out why though. A kid from the next block had an older brother who worked at a convenience store. He would occasionally slip the little brother the unsold porn and he would stash it in the woods in a rusted out 53 Ford truck so his parents wouldn't find it. We always played guns in the forest, find it, take a peek, get paranoid that someone was going to see us and tell our parents, so we'd use it as firestarter.
