Congrats.. nice job. Actually I did see video yesterday of the moon someone took with a iphone 5 and some crazy lens/magnifier they put on it. Nice video however.. thanks for sharing it.

Doesn't anyone ever check an images EXIF data? This photograph was made over a month ago, not a couple days ago. By a "David Simoneaux". 2013:01:20 21:55:10 1 month, 3 days, 12 hours, 36 minutes, 54 seconds ago. On a Canon PowerShot SX50 HS.

Thats 2 different images

No, it was someone using a cheap Canon Powershot to photograph the image on their computer screen. The telltale artifacting on edges in the images show this to be the case. Look at the shadows, the atmospheric blurs, this is the same image. You zoomed in with your cheap little camera and photographed the image on your screen.

Besides, a cheap little point and shoot camera like a Powershot is incapable of that much lunar resolution.
