If you start a business, you'll certainly learn the importance of good work ethnics.

But that's why you'll probably never start a business.
 Quoting: Dr. Lecter

It's even more difficult to have one survive, say, more than 5 years.
 Quoting: pool

Yes that takes skill, hard work, determination, drive amongst other things. Or in short, all the things that people like the OP lack.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10401141

Skill, hard work, determination, drive. These are good qualities but often misused to exploit the planet and other human beings. Maybe the OP has wisdom, patience, sweetness, and honesty. Do you remember those things?

Here's why I feel so deeply resentful towards the system, that I am as deeply reluctant to serve it:

First off, it is so stressful and monotonous competing with hundreds / thousands of other wannabe slaves, that you are forced to constantly upgrade skills and sell yourself more (beg harder). It is degrading to beg to be someone else' slave.

 Quoting: Fuck it 5872656

sounds like you resent the fact that you didn't acquire any skills in earlier years.

If you had any, you would know that they should always be in motion towards an "upgrade"...and that you would want to hone those skills to better yourself in the competitiveness of "work" .....feeling like you're being forced is quite telling.

those of us that have learned a skilled trade and are "masters" of that trade have no problem telling some douche-bag "No, i'm sorry, but that's not how it work's".

go bury your head in the sand at the park if you want, but i suggest you learn a thing or two about what it takes to make something of yourself...(read my first sentence again).

I do agree with you somewhat OP. My life is stressful enough right now and I don't even work atm.

I wanna say something positive in working hard everyday though. Not bragging just saying. But my Dad grew up in these slum projects in East Boston back in the 60s, then his parents finally had enough to buy a house in a different city but they were still really poor. I'm not sure of my dad's whole life. But his parents died when he was fairly young. I'm not sure what he did in the meantime. But eventually he got a really good job. And bought a nice house of his own with my Mom. She worked 2 jobs to help pay also. We sold that house and now we have a even bigger house in a great neighborhood. And they deserve it.

And my mom had the same life growing up in a poor family. I'm sure lots of people grew up poor and worked hard to get where they are right now in this country/world.

My parents have told me tons of stories about the assholes at work. But they just dealt with it. My mom was a waitress for a long time but she put up with everyone. Most people have no choice but to work somewhere they don't want to.

In fact my whole neighborhood is full of hard working people who do work 8+ hours a day. And probably are stressed a lot. And deal with jerkoffs. But they still do it. Most of them all leave at 5am. I'm always usually awake and see them leave.

I know you probably don't really care. But just thought I would post that to support the people who get up and work everyday. Anyways its been at least 5 years since I worked for people. And I love it. There are so many things you can do to make money on your own. You gotta think hard but its worth it.

The blinkered consciousness of many posters from the US is truly astounding. Having to go to work all-day and dealing with those still stuck in this dying consciousness can be extremely tedious. That’s why in the US and elsewhere the screw will slowly tighten until we come to your senses.

I think this is the whole point.

Don't want to speak for OP

but OP wants to escape the slave farm and find a better life.

If everyone revolted off the slave farm, it would not longer support the

rich overlord tards and their life styles...

they would be forced to work themselves....oh deeeer eee

They want to make sure enough are brainwashed ; as many of the comments on here do

indicate

to believing this is an ok system to live in ; just 'deal' with it

If all slaves revolted we would have a new and better world!!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32538141

'if all the slaves revolted' - may as well say, 'if all the dogs learned calculus' - The slave system itself is an outward expression of the inner nature of the slaves themselves. They are ruled because they don't want to have the responsibility of self rule. They are lied to because they have no love of truth. They are treated unjustly because they don't object when someone else is treated unjustly. Remember how 'Tase me Bro' became a big joke instead of an outrage? Remember how 911 truth was mocked by a public who bray like donkeys when they don't like what they hear? remember when millions voted for "Hope and Change" despite obvious indications it was scam? They are their own enemy. The elite are just a tiny voltage. The masses are an enormous current.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33421829

You are right on the money.

Ok ; I agree with you.

They will not change the system until they change themselves and this will never happen for

many many

They like their slavery a lot of them

and don't give a damn when injustice is so obvious

But, there are some who

ARE ready for a change!!!!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32538141

i think the real danger is that change is coming - someone is very busy getting it into the heads of the masses that they are being had. Even the likes of Fox news puts guys out there like Napolitano who are gradually getting the word out that the system is rotten.
The problem is that people will be motivated to change - but because its for the wrong reason, they will be just as easily herded into the solution already planned for them long in advance.
I say its the wrong reason, because its not motivated by love of truth, but anger over being screwed. And that motive does not carry the integrity to see it through to a good solution - but rather a reactionary result, such as was produced by communist revolution.
I expect there to be a feigned collapse of the powers that be followed by a world-wide 'brotherhood' that will be worse than anything we have seen.

Agree totally but need my job for the pay and health benefits. There may be $ making opportunities on the net but I/ve tried it for many years. Nothing has worked. Then to top it off, if your home life sucks too, you really want off this rock.

Good thread.
I recently heard of a guy who bought some land and planned on building a house on it when he retired but the government stopped him from building on the land because it was considered wet land which is protected. Meanwhile most of the land in Canada is surrounded by wet lands.
The government will never allow people to build a log cabin and live off the land. The government is a corporation. Taxes are its revenue, companies and workers are its resources. All natural resources belong to the government. Tax free land would decrease the government's income. Besides, the middle class want expensive over prised homes with a bathroom in each bedroom, stainless steel appliances, expensive hardwood floors and so on. They will never allow anyone to set up a log cabin or a mobile home because it devalues their property.

Second, if you manage to get an interview, you are heavily interrogated.

Third, if you make it through the interrogation procedure they now own you and they can talk to you like shit and force you to slave away as hard as they like. Not so? Disobey your boss or argue back, you will find yourself penniless and homeless in no time.

Fourth, you are forced to work with people who may be absolute assholes and there's no escape.

Fifth, you take the stress of a job home with you and your mind is swamped with work schedules. so you cannot truly relax - ever.

Sixth, all of your freedoms are removed from the moment you leave school to the moment you retire. You are forced to work 8 hours per day - Monday to Friday - until your youth has gone forever. In fact, your freedoms are removed as soon as you start school.

Seventh, you are deceived into thinking that you are entitled to two days of freedom, but you are so stressed from the previous 5 days of slavery you just want to sleep in on Saturday. Then you spend Saturday night getting drunk to blot out your miserable existence. Sunday is spent sleeping in and feeling like shit from a hangover.

Eighth, constant toiling away and being handed heavy schedules age you prematurely, not to mention stressing the immune system.

Ninth, you cannot live a self sufficient lifestyle legally independent of the system because if you build a log cabin anywhere, so you can fish / hunt or grow crops for food, the system's henchmen will destroy your home and imprison you.

Tenth, you are a tax generating automaton who exists to swell the moneyboxes of the elite.

There you have it -- the big pink elephant is not staring you in the face from the far corner of the room, it is sitting on you and crushing you with it's enormous weight, yet the world is in collective denial over this very obvious fact. Why? Because slavery is all they understand.

That's why I hate the system and refuse to serve it.
 Quoting: Fuck it 5872656

1) It's your own fault for not following what you really want to do. If you find the work monotonous you should have done something else with your life. It's not too late obviously, which is presumably why you're here to cry for help.

2) Blaming others will not help you in the least. In fact it's a source of unhappyness, for yourself.
