I'm 34 and jobless. I am deeply resentful towards the so called 'work ethic'. Here's why... | |

What you people are is a product of the easy life modern living has given us. Yet most people do at least some work for this modern living curse, however some think its just free and they don't have to do anything. But they don't understand how selfish this is because you are just leeching off the rest of our work. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 32681289 02/22/2013 12:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree OP. Both my husband and I work full-time to take care of one child and still live paycheck to paycheck. We are college educated and make above minimum wage. The weekend is used for doing chores and running the errands that we could not during the work week only to start the work week all over again. Everyday I want to scream and cry as I am on my way to a desk that I will sit at all day. I know it could be worse so I am still thankful. It's hard to see how much is deducted from my check every pay period as the government is robbing me blind. Deep down, I know this is not the way we were meant to live. I don't mind working hard, in fact I do not believe in any other way but most of the time I want to get away from society and live off the land. You're definitely not alone in how you feel. God bless you. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 12204182 02/22/2013 12:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I do agree with you somewhat OP. My life is stressful enough right now and I don't even work atm. I wanna say something positive in working hard everyday though. Not bragging just saying. But my Dad grew up in these slum projects in East Boston back in the 60s, then his parents finally had enough to buy a house in a different city but they were still really poor. I'm not sure of my dad's whole life. But his parents died when he was fairly young. I'm not sure what he did in the meantime. But eventually he got a really good job. And bought a nice house of his own with my Mom. She worked 2 jobs to help pay also. We sold that house and now we have a even bigger house in a great neighborhood. And they deserve it. And my mom had the same life growing up in a poor family. I'm sure lots of people grew up poor and worked hard to get where they are right now in this country/world. My parents have told me tons of stories about the assholes at work. But they just dealt with it. My mom was a waitress for a long time but she put up with everyone. Most people have no choice but to work somewhere they don't want to. In fact my whole neighborhood is full of hard working people who do work 8+ hours a day. And probably are stressed a lot. And deal with jerkoffs. But they still do it. Most of them all leave at 5am. I'm always usually awake and see them leave. I know you probably don't really care. But just thought I would post that to support the people who get up and work everyday. Anyways its been at least 5 years since I worked for people. And I love it. There are so many things you can do to make money on your own. You gotta think hard but its worth it. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 20087960 02/22/2013 12:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you start a business, you'll certainly learn the importance of good work ethnics. Quoting: Dr. Lecter But that's why you'll probably never start a business. It's even more difficult to have one survive, say, more than 5 years. Yes that takes skill, hard work, determination, drive amongst other things. Or in short, all the things that people like the OP lack. Skill, hard work, determination, drive. These are good qualities but often misused to exploit the planet and other human beings. Maybe the OP has wisdom, patience, sweetness, and honesty. Do you remember those things? |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 20087960 02/22/2013 12:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here's why I feel so deeply resentful towards the system, that I am as deeply reluctant to serve it: Quoting: Fuck it 5872656 First off, it is so stressful and monotonous competing with hundreds / thousands of other wannabe slaves, that you are forced to constantly upgrade skills and sell yourself more (beg harder). It is degrading to beg to be someone else' slave. sounds like you resent the fact that you didn't acquire any skills in earlier years. If you had any, you would know that they should always be in motion towards an "upgrade"...and that you would want to hone those skills to better yourself in the competitiveness of "work" .....feeling like you're being forced is quite telling. those of us that have learned a skilled trade and are "masters" of that trade have no problem telling some douche-bag "No, i'm sorry, but that's not how it work's". go bury your head in the sand at the park if you want, but i suggest you learn a thing or two about what it takes to make something of yourself...(read my first sentence again). *curious...are computers, electricity and internet free in the UK? Yes, freely available to anyone at any public library. |

Having to go to work all-day and dealing with those still stuck in this dying consciousness can be extremely tedious. That’s why in the US and elsewhere the screw will slowly tighten until we come to your senses. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 34916917 02/22/2013 08:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32538141 I think this is the whole point. Don't want to speak for OP but OP wants to escape the slave farm and find a better life. If everyone revolted off the slave farm, it would not longer support the rich overlord tards and their life styles... they would be forced to work themselves....oh deeeer eee They want to make sure enough are brainwashed ; as many of the comments on here do indicate to believing this is an ok system to live in ; just 'deal' with it If all slaves revolted we would have a new and better world!! 'if all the slaves revolted' - may as well say, 'if all the dogs learned calculus' - The slave system itself is an outward expression of the inner nature of the slaves themselves. They are ruled because they don't want to have the responsibility of self rule. They are lied to because they have no love of truth. They are treated unjustly because they don't object when someone else is treated unjustly. Remember how 'Tase me Bro' became a big joke instead of an outrage? Remember how 911 truth was mocked by a public who bray like donkeys when they don't like what they hear? remember when millions voted for "Hope and Change" despite obvious indications it was scam? They are their own enemy. The elite are just a tiny voltage. The masses are an enormous current. You are right on the money. Ok ; I agree with you. They will not change the system until they change themselves and this will never happen for many many They like their slavery a lot of them and don't give a damn when injustice is so obvious But, there are some who ARE ready for a change!!!! i think the real danger is that change is coming - someone is very busy getting it into the heads of the masses that they are being had. Even the likes of Fox news puts guys out there like Napolitano who are gradually getting the word out that the system is rotten. The problem is that people will be motivated to change - but because its for the wrong reason, they will be just as easily herded into the solution already planned for them long in advance. I say its the wrong reason, because its not motivated by love of truth, but anger over being screwed. And that motive does not carry the integrity to see it through to a good solution - but rather a reactionary result, such as was produced by communist revolution. I expect there to be a feigned collapse of the powers that be followed by a world-wide 'brotherhood' that will be worse than anything we have seen. Oh Man. You said it. You must have a that special (they live) sunglasses on. Me too. What a manipulation. You saw through it. Me too. I hope some read what you have written and take it to heat. |

Exactly, this is probably the case, but the stupid sheeple who want taxes and tax hikes think it all goes to building roads lmao. |

There may be $ making opportunities on the net but I/ve tried it for many years. Nothing has worked. Then to top it off, if your home life sucks too, you really want off this rock. |
