I'm 34 and jobless. I am deeply resentful towards the so called 'work ethic'. Here's why...

You need to work for yourself then everyone has to work if you lived in the middle of the bush off the grid you still have to work to exist.
What you people are is a product of the easy life modern living has given us.
Yet most people do at least some work for this modern living curse, however some think its just free and they don't have to do anything.
But they don't understand how selfish this is because you are just leeching off the rest of our work.

Evil is at its strongest point in our history right now. Everyone is starting to get a sense of what there is to do.

I agree OP. Both my husband and I work full-time to take care of one child and still live paycheck to paycheck. We are college educated and make above minimum wage. The weekend is used for doing chores and running the errands that we could not during the work week only to start the work week all over again. Everyday I want to scream and cry as I am on my way to a desk that I will sit at all day. I know it could be worse so I am still thankful. It's hard to see how much is deducted from my check every pay period as the government is robbing me blind. Deep down, I know this is not the way we were meant to live. I don't mind working hard, in fact I do not believe in any other way but most of the time I want to get away from society and live off the land. You're definitely not alone in how you feel. I do agree with you somewhat OP. My life is stressful enough right now and I don't even work atm.

I wanna say something positive in working hard everyday though. Not bragging just saying. But my Dad grew up in these slum projects in East Boston back in the 60s, then his parents finally had enough to buy a house in a different city but they were still really poor. I'm not sure of my dad's whole life. But his parents died when he was fairly young. I'm not sure what he did in the meantime. But eventually he got a really good job. And bought a nice house of his own with my Mom. She worked 2 jobs to help pay also. We sold that house and now we have a even bigger house in a great neighborhood. And they deserve it.

And my mom had the same life growing up in a poor family. I'm sure lots of people grew up poor and worked hard to get where they are right now in this country/world.

My parents have told me tons of stories about the assholes at work. But they just dealt with it. My mom was a waitress for a long time but she put up with everyone. Most people have no choice but to work somewhere they don't want to.

In fact my whole neighborhood is full of hard working people who do work 8+ hours a day. And probably are stressed a lot. And deal with jerkoffs. But they still do it. Most of them all leave at 5am. I'm always usually awake and see them leave.

I know you probably don't really care. But just thought I would post that to support the people who get up and work everyday. Anyways its been at least 5 years since I worked for people. And I love it. There are so many things you can do to make money on your own. You gotta think hard but its worth it.

Skill, hard work, determination, drive. These are good qualities but often misused to exploit the planet and other human beings. Maybe the OP has wisdom, patience, sweetness, and honesty. Do you remember those things?

The blinkered consciousness of many posters from the US is truly astounding. Having to go to work all-day and dealing with those still stuck in this dying consciousness can be extremely tedious. That’s why in the US and elsewhere the screw will slowly tighten until we come to your senses.

Agree totally but need my job for the pay and health benefits. There may be $ making opportunities on the net but I/ve tried it for many years. Nothing has worked. Then to top it off, if your home life sucks too, you really want off this rock.
