Hmmmmm, how convenient a "crisis" appears when there is the talk of more government control of the Internet.

And how convenient to show a movie(Die Hard movie mentioned in first post) with a similar subject in order to prepare minds into thinking that such a disaster could occur.

Expert was asked why these sophisticated hackers have not

crippled the usa yet and his answer was that because they

have not wanted to. He stated very clearly that 'they'

have the capability to cripple us already.

Many of us seem to forget that there was a world before computers or even electronics.

Can you imagine, though, what it would be like without electricity?

Most recent articles I've read seem to point out one very clear, strong message--our transmission infrastructure is aging and needs modernization.

Wouldn't it be nice if we saw our government taking care of its people by taking care of the things we need most for our survival?

You know, like electricity for one. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

One way the federal government wasted money last year was by spending 25 billion dollars maintaining 'unused' or 'totally vacant' federal buildings.

Instead, they should have devoted time and money in upgrading our aged power systems to make electrical transmission more efficient.
