Unprovoked, the Nuke Gook would never lob a nuke at us. M.A.D. (mutually assured destruction) worked all through the cold war, and will work with anyone with an instinct for self-survival. M.A.D. works with everyone except those who ARE mad. Think of those (Mad Meds) who are glad to strap a bomb around their chest for 70 virgins (if there's any virgins left.) Nuke Gook wants hard currency. Mad Med wants to wipe out "Amer-di-can Satan" and Israel. Evil Mullahs -- the Iranian Satan -- would gladly sacrifice Tehran for a chance at this. It's not "Blood for Oil" here, but rather, "Oil for Blood."
