I'm sorry I wasn't clear. Ezekiel 38 must happen before the covenant but most likely after psalm 83. It would have to happen soon and be fast for the covenant to come next month is all I'm saying.

I don't think we are in the middle, one fourth of humanity dies before the tribulation. That hasn't happened yet that I see any proof of.
