Very similar to one. But, imagine an FTE aligning at the same moment and same place as a CME. They think this happened a couple years ago because a CME went off and the satellites detected it way before they should have.

The extra 'energy' in system that, of course, is between earth and the sun, would help the FTE remain stable longer, and allow the CME explosion to travel along it, MUCH faster than normal CME energized particle speeds.

Damn, that would be like dumping a load of plasma right on your head! I'll read the papers...good post!

is it possible these changes could manifest themselves in the earth with say....
releasing methane-hydrates underground faster and in places where it never did before, causing too much pressure in the gas pockets underground?

It's hard to say. As far as the science of it goes, the scientific communities still do not think these events create EQs and the like. So, there is not a whole lot of science research on it.

My thoughts are that it does effect underground plasma (molten lava, underground electric currents - called Telluric Currents-, etc.)

I don't think it would have an impact on methane-hydrate releases, except perhaps the earth shifting slightly in areas where the plasma is being effected from incoming particle energies. We can see the effect in the ionosphere with the auroras , noctilucent clouds, etc. So, it may just ramp up the interaction between the earth, both atmospheric and telluric currents underground. It would just be a matter of enough of an energy exchange that it causes a change enough that it is noticeable.

What about complete soul delving with Gamma, have done several deep long gamma trips, you go beyond REM, into nothingness with a thousand voices talking at once, quite sureal. Yep. Plasma discharge. Imagine a cross section of a donut. Those are the two circles on either side, with a plasma column going up through the center of the donuts. You can kind of see it in my sig picture of the Vajra as well.
