It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1250796 STFU you roll playing freak. bahaha , and that video is really sad.. shared it :/sdfhasdfshasd/: Those who live by the sword die by the sword, those who don't live by the sword are subject to those who do. |

For the people here in the USA... Keep breathing, eating and drinking that radiation from Japan. You'll feel nothing UNTIL the CUMULATIVE DOSE exceeds 50Rads/rems, ANY TIME SOON ! MOSTLY from Cesium 134 and 137 GAMMA radiation, which is BACK in the milk supply your drinking BECAUSE .... The cows are eating the hay and grains that TOOK UP THAT poison from the ground last year. They certainly aren't out eating the grass just now. Also from the water they drink. My 'solution for this is two fold: buy light cream( LESS than half the radiation as that's ALL my survey meter reads ); second, take 500-1000 mg of calcium morning and night time, as it BLOCKS the uptake of Cesium, and helps the body get rid of the rest. The body mistakes cesium for calcium, and adds it to the BONES ! Eagle |

Ultimately the video was about the system that produces food for us and any contamination of this system that puts our species at further risk of extinction. The failure for some to realize this, is just as disturbing. |

We're killing God's creatures and don't even realize it. We were ordered to care for them and look what we've done !! When I go to the grocery store, I take my own bags. Got tired of them asking "paper or plastic?" - one's just as bad as the other. Plastic pollutes for what, 10,000 years???? and paper kills trees (where our oxygen comes from). I don't think this earth can be fixed at this point. It's all about money for big corporations, and it's all about convenience for this "throw-away" society. I can't tell you how awful I feel at this point !!! My tears won't fix the problem. I can only do my part in my own personal little world, which doesn't amount to much and will never alter the trend. You said exactly how I feel.....so so sad. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 30857551 Australia 02/21/2013 07:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wiki - "The North Pacific Gyre, located in the northern Pacific Ocean, is one of the five major oceanic gyres. This gyre covers most of the northern Pacific Ocean. It is the largest ecosystem on Earth, located between the equator and 50° N latitude, and comprising 20 million square kilometers.[1] The gyre has a clockwise circular pattern and is formed by four prevailing ocean currents: the North Pacific Current to the north, the California Current to the east, the North Equatorial Current to the south, and the Kuroshio Current to the west. It is the site of an unusually intense collection of man-made marine debris, known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch". Ironically, these garbage islands are host to huge ecosystems, as they allow many smaller life forms to thrive amongst the man made debris. New bacteria, capable of breaking down plastics are being discovered there, and will lead to ways of seeding tips and other refuse areas to cut in half the recycling time line. Still, nothing to be proud of. So sad for the birds, especially how the camera man has shown it. It is for impact, and rightly so. If you know anyone who works at a fish cannery or plant, ask them what they find in the guts. Pretty much the same crap. Unseen, out of site - out of mind. Its good to see vids like this as a jolt. Thanks for bringing it to our attention OP. Are they making a full length feature about it? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11963746 This problem has been around for many decades, but the birds seem to be thriving, overall. Sad, yes, but why are some birds stuffed with plastic garbage while others are doing seemingly fine? Just as with humans their are retards in the animal world. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1634496 United States 02/21/2013 08:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | First of all, who is this photographer? what is his background? political affiliation? (I can guess), - who directed, who funded the project -- obviously certain documentarians are running out of subject matter to cast yet another stone at humanity (to go to such a far-flung region in the first place). It's mighty easy to depict the flora and fauna in an idyllic setting with a sleepy, Spanish guitar lulling you to lower your defenses. Only to rape your eyes with the images that follow. It's film 101 -- and with that you're snared. These films are not unlike the news that just hang in the wallows of the evil that men do. I am sure there are just as many positive and uplifting subjects on the planet that films could reveal. Just sick of self-loving/loathing filmmakers . While not denying this does happen to birds (fish, animals) it's just become tiresome to see so many examples of this kind of filmmaking. especially if any of the footage had been doctored to further a point. After all, if you're gonna spend $$$ on making a movie in the middle of nowhere - u better come home with some decent footage..... |
