I didn't hear the call nor do I have any pertinent info... But as an avid US Govt observer and our current "president," it appears VERY clear the the appropriate name for "Obamacare" should have been "Major Corporate Insurance Company Care" where the poor insurance companies will be allowed to restrict care to the available funding levels available to to them (which will never be enough), but their profit margins will never be factored into how much money will be available for medical services.

Don't forget... Obama is a "People's" president. He will give everything he can to the people who funded his presidential races both past AND future. (He kinda likes it there in the White House.)

You know, I told several people this would happen before Obamacare was rammed down our throats (on Christmas Eve, no less - how ironic was THAT??) and was hooted at and ridiculed for my warnings. I should be pleased that I've been proven correct, but this is one time that I really hoped I'd be wrong, and it is a terribly hollow victory.

Actually, you are partially correct. The "BENEFITS" which we were all promised don't really start until 2014.

However, the TAX part of the Plan is ALREADY in place for THIS tax season (i.e., it will most likely affect YOUR refund THIS YEAR, if you're planning on one), and companies are already scrambling to get their ducks in a row in order to survive. This includes conversations with their current insurance providers, (after which they may decide to drop their current insurance and just pay the penalty if it's cheaper), adjustments in the number of individual employee hours, and trimming staff to essential personnel (i.e., layoffs).

There are more than 1400 new regulations within this Bill. As businesses discover what they are. things are only going to get tougher.
