Russia has recently purchased 300 tonnes of gold from the U.S federal reserve. This process would normally take only a few weeks, however the Fed Reserve has stated it would take up to SEVEN YEARS to transfer all the gold...

This implies that they do not have the gold (for unknown reasons), and since they can so easily manipulate the market for gain here's what I predict. I suspect the most logical course of action would be for a sudden market drop in gold, this would cause a mass sell off and further push gold lower, then when gold has hit a two decade low the men behind the curtain will mass buy the now dirt cheap gold and transfer it to Russia (and probably make a very large profit in doing so).
