Re: I'm Male, Stop The Female Bashing, Idiots
REPOST from another thread by: AC25450407

Many divorced guys who were of the nice variety finally had the rose colored glasses YANKED off them when they were going through their respective divorces ... and once the "TRUTH" is finally known it can never be forgotten.

The current statistics are 70% of all married women HAVE ALREADY HAD AN AFFAIR ... so if one excludes the newly weds, the much older generation and the uglies the odds say that MOST average to above average women have ALREADY slept around on their husbands (probably 90% to 95%). It is just the way the female brain is wired. She wants her man to be faithful, but SHE is not faithful.

Another interesting statistic, one from the NIH from a study in the late 90's is that if a woman has had 5 sex partners prior to her husband the odds her marriage lasting more than 10 years is only 30%. (the majority of women today in their early 20's?). By 15 sex partners ... it has dropped precipitously from those already low levels.

The younger generation of males (those under 35) are wising up FAST that marriage is a one way street, GREAT for the woman but an almost guaranteed losing proposition for the male, particularly if you are a male who is on the ball, going to be or already are successful, and are a nice person. When the now almost inevitable divorce comes (divorce rates are climbing for the younger set even as they delay marriage further and further out), the male is going to be on the recieving end of a focking the likes of which is little understood until you have been through it.

OH ... and the "double standard" when it comes to everything about relationships is still alive and well: She hits the male and causes him injury ... police say too bad, get back to life. He hits her and doesn't even cause injury ... police haul the guys ass to jail; She won't pay child support ... oh well. He won't pay child support ... lose all licenses and off to jail; She won't let him see the kids as required by the Court Order ... oh well. He won't let her see the kids as required by the Court Order ... he is off to jail; the list goes on and on ... but once the marriage contract is signed these days the guy is screwed for L-I-F-E (and this doesn't even get into the money side of a relationship or marriage).

There ARE some good women out there ... but good luck finding them! (by my estimation they make up less than 10% of the universe ... and since they ARE good women they are NOT available since they almost always already have a solid partner).

Being older I am no longer amazed but am now just amused as I listen to women I know PROUDLY talk about THEIR affair(s) (usually multiple) and how they "took their ex to the cleaners" ... and then in the next paragraph say that they just can't understand why they "can't find a man who wants to commit anymore".

My rose colored glasses are gone ... now I just find women amusing.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24238594

This is sad. And as a woman, I can see that much of it is true.I am not aware of the whole affairs thing, but I have not been able to understand the family law courts that compel men to pay spousal support, when what we are dealing with here are two adults both capable of providing for themselves - why should one maintain the other now that their contract has broken down? We each come to the contract as free agents - why should we not exit as free agents, as capable as before of fending for ourselves? Now, both of them contributing to the welfare of any children that they have brought to the world is only moral, and no-one should be able to walk away from that. But it must be considered a shared commitment, emotionally and financially.
As for unequal access rights to those children, in the absence of any threat to the child it is revolting that one sex will be favoured over the other. And must be devastating. How can that be love?
I do sometimes wonder what has happened to women - There seems to have been an idiotic 'buy-in' to some plastic materialistic culture, where far too many deform their bodies, their natures, their expectations. Men too have their issues. I see more than a few young women nowadays acting as if they imagine they are living on a reality TV show. It would be funny if it were not ultimately so harmful to them.
But I am hopeful - a wheel always turns. There will come a point when people (men and women both) will become deeply dissatisfied with an amoral, materialistic life, fed up of a consensus where money and status and appearance confers rank, and there will be ''a returning to the laws''. (Not some idiotic patriarchy! But a natural egalitarian rhythm......) Here's hoping it's soon :)
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34938254

It is sad but true.

It is wrong that courts do what they do. but by all credible reports it is true. It is a reality that women get to expect but men must also expect, in their decision making. We're not living in a vacuum, the courts are what they are.

What is done to men is devastating but I am used to it. It's the way of our culture. I am prepared emotionally if it happens to me. I've lived a good life. I will protect the kids as much as I can -- and that's quite a bit.

Women have been more or less like this my whole life, it's the USA culture. I married a foreigner and am still married, raising our children together. Marriage isn't easy either and all the nastiest sides of the personality come out. It's a long haul. But it's necessary to provide stability for the kids.

Women now have equal rights, but most don't want equal responsibility.

That little 25 word equal rights amendment did not pass. I think because it meant equal pay.
 Quoting: WindyMind

It is unfortunate that women often receive less pay on the job these days. Guys also don't have to worry about how they look on the job. Women are expected to look nice, dress nice, but not so nice as to be deemed too sexy, or slutty. Thatís also not true about not wanting equal responsibility I don't think either.
 Quoting: Charlott

Equal pay for THE SAME work?

Not work you think is equal.

And women are free to wear a "uniform" same as men. Business suit, white blouse, sensible shoes. They just don't choose to. They might look ugly, but it's not someone else's fault if they have an ugly appearance that they prefer to use all sorts of tricks to cover up. Men do better on the job if they're tall and good looking too.

I am sick and tired of seeing the wage gap issue posted in these topics by you simpletons. It's a myth. Men choose fields that have higher pay, they work longer hours, and they choose jobs that are more dangerous. If you take a man and woman working in the same position for the same number of years then the pay is equal.

I love and respect those females(girls and women) that own their femininity, excel at their societal role, and love and respect a man that provides and protects.

I won't tolerate a feminista, and steer clear of those indoctrinated to these philosophies. They are anti-male.

MOST men - eventually, want to love and cherish one woman, and unfortunately, those women worthy of this love are scooped up early and often. They may get married at 19 and stay faithfully married to a good man until their 70's, when one or the other dies. That's life.

Many of us(male and female) missed this boat and are lost at sea in life. We can only do the best we can and hope and pray that we will find the right oppositely sexed partner.

you guys still arent getting it.
yes both men and women can be fucked up. yes both cheat. yes both arecto blame for the state of relaionships nowadays.
BUT women dont come on glp znd whine and complain about it, spreading their hatred.
onky men do that.
women complain to other women, ususlly in person.
why dont you guys have a social life where you can talk about your problems in person?
everytime one of you complains about how it is all women's fault, you are proving the op's point over and over.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1263783

No, you just complain about it on other websites, whereas this one still supports free speech to some degree. Also, you aren't attacked by men and women alike when you vent your bullshit problems. You're all seen as precious little victims.

Men are more likely to be homeless.
Men are more likely to be alienated from society.
Men are more prone to suicide.
Men don't get the help they need when they are in trouble.

What are your problems, victim? You couldn't find a six foot Tom Cruise look alike who would support you with his $300,000 per year income? WOMEN HAVE NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.

i will stop female bashing, or reading of female bashing, the day I can have no education and scoop up a several-million-dollar broad that will "take care of me," like women have more or less always been able to, if they only have a modicum/minimum of beauty.

But not women in general. Do you seriously believe that almost all women are so great? The things that are said on these so-called bashing threads are true. Real examples. Real women did this shit.

As a woman, if you are honest, you know how nasty and shitty women are under the surface. How many close female friends do you have, and how close are you really? Might they not stab you in the back if they liked your guy and could get him that way? Don't you watch every single penny with each other? Aren't you normally concerned with keeping up appearances even with your best friend(s)?

So are you saying women's work is not equal to a manís? If what I said was confusing, I was, of course, talking about identical jobs. Women still today often get hired on with a wage lower than a manís for the same position.
As far as dress is concerned, men are generally not criticized for their dress. Look at Hillary Clinton back when she used to wear pantsuits, she took alot of criticism for it. Rarely do you see a male politician criticized for the cheap suits that so many of them wear. Btw It seems to me that the better looking the guy, the worse he is at his job (Iím sure there are exceptions to that, thatís not a blanket statement) lol.

As a guy I can give you "guy" advice that for you it's not too late. You can date younger women here. Or you can look abroad, where we have a good reputation.

For women "lost in the sea of life", I have no advice, but then I've not walked in those shoes, so I wouldn't necessarily know.

Charlott, I love your avatar. It reminds me of ... something feminine. :)

Equal pay for the same work -- well I don't know of examples, but maybe there have been recent court cases or some other way you would know?

And I've never complained about Hillary's dressing. She's not attractive physically but so what? What I am less impressed by is how she got her start in the Senate mainly, as far as I can tell, because she was the President's wife. And then NY was arranged so that she could roll straight to the Democratic nomination, even other women (Nita Lowey) were ordered out of the way. And in NY State the Dem. nomination usually is enough to get elected.

I have been critical of Michelle Obama's dress. She should wear clothes that fit. But that's a whole other issue, hope you don't mind my making that criticism.

Better looking = worse performing at a given level, isn't that logical? Good looks compensate for performance, in either gender. So in a competitive system, this is what we would expect to observe in equilibrium.

This.

A programmer is worth more than a tester. That's how it was in one shop I worked at: the men were programmers, the women were testers or in other support roles. The one woman who was a programmer (a foreigner, not surprisingly) was probably paid the same as a man; she was obviously competent and she was treated well.

Didn't you make this same post before?

Men are subject to gruesome violence as well. Plus the men who are drafted and sent off to war where that's a fact of life. Even if we draft women, we probably won't put many on the front lines in the riskiest positions, because it would also increase risk for the men.

You're basically saying that since other societies have been unfair to women, it's natural that ours should be unfair to men.

I can see the logic, but I hope you'll excuse me if I seek ways to opt out of your intention that I pay for the sins or others to give you extra.

If you take a man and woman working in the same position for the same number of years then the pay is equal.

No it isnt. The IT department isnt dangerous.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19353843

IT is a skilled field. If women worked in it in the same capacity and the same number hours then women and men would earn equal pay.

Why did you even write that, airhead? Are you going to keep bringing up one field at a time until people get tired of replying to you?

This.

A programmer is worth more than a tester. That's how it was in one shop I worked at: the men were programmers, the women were testers or in other support roles. The one woman who was a programmer (a foreigner, not surprisingly) was probably paid the same as a man; she was obviously competent and she was treated well.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33389306

Let me add that, as an intellectually taxing job, programming is something that selects the upper range of the distribution of intelligence -- the "upper tail" of the bell-shaped curve.

And that upper tail, as well as the lower tail, is dominated by men. Men and women have about the same average intelligence but the spread is much greater for men. This is well established. Larry Summers got fired as President of Harvard for refusing to say it was not true -- but that's because he showed integrity. He was never shown to be wrong on the merits. Just hooted down and given a vote of no-confidence, or something like that, but never shown to be wrong.

So men are overrepresented among those unable to get any job because, say, they failed out of high school. But they are also overrepresented among programmers, engineers, and other professions requiring high intelligence and creativity.

They're not overrepresented among doctors and lawyers because standards for women to enter law school and medical school have been lowered.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33389306

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33389306

I know of at least two occasions where friends of mine were hired, one was a man who was given the top starting wage they could give him. The reason cited was because they thought he might have a family he needed to support (he didn't) and another friend of mine who was hired in at another place at the lowest starting wage. Could just be these two places, but it does happen.

Thanks for the comment on my avatar, it was one you could choose when signing up for a glp account, and I liked it. Although with you saying that you know thatís almost sexist to say. (I suspect you may know this lol) I don't mind it tho, thank you :). It is the same way saying you don't mind Hillaryís dress, but she's ugly. Her looks have nothing to do with her job, or shouldn't. I agree with you, I don't care for much of her politics either, and don't approve of all her scandals. Btw I always thought Michelle O dressed nice. And I donít think you meant anything bad about what you wrote btw.

Think of this, as Chuck Hagel will soon be confirmed, have you heard anybody say, "boy Chuck is an ugly dude" He will not be criticized for his looks, just whether or not you like his politics, or job performance.

Any time this topic comes up this wage gap issue is just tossed in without fail. She was nailed on the IT field (and the equal hours/work/pay is the same in any field if seniority is not a factor) and now they will keep coming back with other fields of work.

A lot of the woman hater threads here are started by homos, usually pretending to be straight guys complaining about women, sometime pretending to be women (so they can talk 'dirty' to guys). Men need to be more aware that the biggest misogynists are always homos, that they are the ringleaders in any 'lets hate on wimmin' type discussions.

You're the one who brought up Hillary. If you have brought up Chuck Hagel, maybe I would have commented about that. Is he ugly? Handsome? I don't really have an opinion about whether men are ugly or handsome, most of them anyway. My wife tells me, then I know enough to agree, that's all.

Men are visual, women react more to smell. That may be sexist.

Your avatar looks like a very special part of a woman. That's definitely sexist, and I'll own it!

REPOST from another thread:

It's a beautiful thing when a man ages enough to no longer be ruled by his dick. Nothing is more refreshing than seeing what most women really are and realizing that it's just not worth it.

The best part is when they realize that they no longer have the power over you that they once had, and that they better pony up with something else in the relationship or hit the bricks.

Women today have earned every bit of the hate. The day that good women start telling bad women that they are wrong for doing what they do, is the day the healing can begin. Till then, you all will be lumped into the same pit by most men as selfish, manipulative, gold diggers.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24238594

Maybe that's why life begins at 30, or even 40, for men. Until then have fun, put away some loot (granted, hard in this economy), preferably in a way that it won't be exposed to a divorce settlement, but keep some gold chains or something to jingle in front of girls. Not necessary but it can't hurt. I've never even heard of a good one being put off by it.

Then find yourself a wife you like. Be patient. Men can afford to be patient. There is no hurry.

I was talking to two great men I trusted and they told me ALL men cheat. One of them was my married uncle. So, I believe them.

I have never even cheated on a boyfriend.

There is no such thing as marriage anymore only delusional people.
 Quoting: Southernwoman 19353843

Your uncle didn't know me. I think there are lots of men who don't cheat, probably women too, but I may live a privileged life where things are a little better.

If there's no marriage then it is very hard to give kids a stable home environment.

you guys still arent getting it.
yes both men and women can be fucked up. yes both cheat. yes both arecto blame for the state of relaionships nowadays.
