Why do people hate on paper trade so bad it makes me laugh?

Seriously, in the modern world we live in today, what do you expect, to pay people in camels and chickens?

We use paper money so people can trade EASILY. So when people work, they get payed in paper money and not cattle.

So lets say I ditch all my paper money and buy gold, actual physical gold.

Now my kid wants a 5 cent candy, let me just go round up .00001 grams of gold and pay the teller with the microscopic flake of gold.

I can understand that paper money has no value, ok, but as a population, we are all working for the same paper money so we can easily trade shit.
