PS3 - DNS question
Ok, my daughter has a PS3 that she purchased last fall.

A few days ago it came up with a DNS error #80710104.

Has anyone had this error & if so, how did you correct it?

Searches have come up with waiting for a patch or restoring the PS3 to its factory settings (which we have no clue as how to do this).

Serious answers only, TIA!!

Re: PS3 - DNS question
I can guide you thru it, but it would be a long PITA process doing it over this forum.

If you know how to go into the connection settings, enter there, and re-enter all you settings again, in case something got messed up.

If you're still having the problem, I'll need to know if it's wirelessly connected or wired.

Was the settings on the router messed with recently. You should DMZ the PS3's IP address. Google how to do that with your router brand. It sounds like the firewall on your router isn't letting the system connect.

Nope, worked fine one afternoon, turned it on to watch Netflix that night & got that error.

Hmmmm......I may have to let my tech savy daughter & her fiance' do this.
