For the ones saying that the gun companies are making a mistake by doing this, remember these new laws affect them, thier families, and employees. They are not immune to the proposed new laws, they are making a stand for thier own rights also.

If the Govt wants arms and ammo, it can buy them in any country they want to. Gun firms cut off their nose to spite their face for political reasons and then go out of business as guns are banned. Meanwhilst in another country..

Well, you get the picture. But the end result is the same. You will not be able to buy a gun in the USofA. This is what you call the law of unintended consequences.

I love how confident "non-Americans" are about Americans losing thir right to bear arms. It will be VERY difficult to make this happen. There are states and citizens who are willing to fight for their 2nd Amendment rights.

Um... actually...

They've been slowly thinning out the available ammo supply to the country for years now, hence why bullets are becoming more expensive (across the board) and harder to get. What use is your precious gun if you have no ammo...

All of the SHITHEADS in NY, CA, etc do not care if these companies refuse to do business in their states! This is why we need other manufactures to step up and put even more pressure on those states that are 2nd Amendment hostile! Armalite has sadly chosen corporate profit over the 2nd Amendment rights of free loving Americans!

People now need to show companies like Armalite that CORPORATE profit will not be tolerated when it comes to the rights of the people!

BOYCOTT companies like ARMALITE! The dollar is apparently the only thing that they understand!

Checked-out La Rue Tactical and they operate from Leander, TX. I had seen good reviews on their battle rifles and the $2400 not looking so bad these days. Anybody have experience with their stuff?

Well actually one more thing needs to be said! Since the ammo belongs to the people, the people NEED to make sure their representatives UNDERSTAND their sentiments! Write, call, e-mail your representatives continuously until they understand that they represent your views! They need to understand that WE THE PEOPLE paid for everything the Govt buys thus making us (we the people) the owners of everything and we dictate how they will vote or give them the fucking boot!

However,

I notice one glaring fact missing completely.

The main problem with gun ownership being restricted is Federal.

I'd like to see these companies stop selling to military, and especially all the FEDERAL agencies.

Until then this is posturing without teeth.

Clearly these companies have been taken over by terrorists.

In the interest of national security all firearm manufacturers will have to be nationalized, all private sales halted and this 'free market' will have to be dealt with so that it can't be used in the future to endanger the government.

Simple response from the government, IMHO:

The government should end all contracts from those companies for any reason across the country. It is not up to the gun companies to make policy.

I'm done with any company operating out of any state that passes strict anti gun legislation. And the list just keeps growing for proposed legislation. Oregon being the latest.

That is what the elites, the Europeans and the leftovers of the British Empire fear -- the competence and capabilities of the American people. Not all Americans are rotting in front of the TV set, there are plenty of them inventing, innovating, making stuff, improving stuff. Go take a stroll through youtube one day, or instrucatables, or one of the many popular magazines for the DIY market. Read it and weep, you envious, gunless, and spineless wimps.

There's nothing in the Bill of Rights that says you can have anything you like as a weapon.

There's also nothing in the Bill of Rights that says the Government can buy from whomever meets their criteria.

Just my opinion, but these companies are on thin ice in terms of moral stand. It's in their interest to arm anyone and everyone, and they could give a shit who gets hurt in the process.

very interesting to see the comments here.

Eisenhower warned us of the Military
Industrial Complex in his last speech.

So Obammie attacks that MIC on multiple
levels to include bans on firearm sales and
cutting military budgets

and you still complain

sooo
do you want the MIC or not ???
