THERE IS HIGH PROBABILITY FOR A STRONG COASTAL STORM TO IMPACT
SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND LATE SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY. A LOT OF
UNCERTAINTY REMAINS GIVEN THAT THE STORM IS STILL NEARLY 3 DAYS
IN THE FUTURE...SO EXACT PTYPES/SNOWFALL AMOUNTS REMAIN UNCERTAIN.

THE STORM WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY WET SNOW TO THE
REGION. AT THIS TIME...THE BEST CHANCE FOR THIS WILL BE NORTH OF
THE MASSACHUSETTS TURNPIKE AND AWAY FROM THE COAST. HOWEVER...THE
THREAT FOR A PERIOD OF HEAVY SNOW IS POSSIBLE ACROSS MUCH OF THE
REGION. THERE WILL BE THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME DOWNED TREE LIMBS AND
POWER OUTAGES WHERE HEAVY WET SNOW OCCURS.

But to update...

I've lived in the North East and in the Mountains of Colorado...

This is the most snow I've seen in such a short period of time. We have about 14 inches here in South KC and it's still coming down.

We have about 7" in the northern suburbs of Kansas City, MO. People have abandoned their cars in the middle of streets, interstates shut down, extremely low visibility, wind blowing at a pretty good clip, Fed Ex and mail carriers have been called off the roads, malls shut down... it's a mess.

Wow. Just got back from Maui for a body guard job to STL area to this crap again. Sucks.

StL also reporting sleet, some getting into metro east now, a lull also to west and south. Makes sense looking at radar, just an initial band that moved through. Nothing yet here 75 mi to NE.

I live about 20 mins south of kc and we got about 10 inches so far, was gonna post some live traffic cams but can't get the site to pull up. Also the UPS hub in lenexa is closed only for the second time in 25 years.

10:05am, per NWS: Wichita's official snow total is up to 11.4". This storm is now tied for 7th all-time, since 1888. (& it's still snowing.)

Someone said something about 14" - 18" in Vermont this week. From what I've read, it will probably be Saturday night into Sunday. It's snowed about 1" - 2" the last two nights. No big deal; shoveling the driveway is great exercise!

I grew up in Missouri, though, and feel for the folks there. It's just snow and they'll make it through, but the city workers aren't always properly outfitted for this sort of storm.. maybe they should buy a few more plows.

Only 3" so far just 45 minutes north of Kansas City. Coming down pretty good. Did have quite the nice kick-off with the thundersnow, but thats gone now, and just regular heavy snow. If it gets bad I'll post some videos. It just doesn't snow much aroud here for the last fifteen years so when it does folks tend to over do it when it does.
