They didn't want any part of white devil culture.

North American Indians had complex established cultures by the time the white landed on this continent.

They had their own spiritual ways and it did include a belief in the Great Spirit.

One legend of a tribe; (cant remember the name) ; has it that a holy man from over the oceans visited their tribe and told of a man who died for them ..lll

The thing the North American Indians did wrong was

their inability to combine into one tribe for defeat

Tecumseh tried to combine the tribes but was not able

The constant tribal warfare over millennia made it impossible for him to

bridge old hatreds many tribes had for each other.

If Tecumseh was able to combine the tribes of North America, I would imagine

life would be different today.
