Hey! Thanks, I didn't know. Just woke up for awhile and haven't checked the Blade yet. I figured it would happen soon. Too much rain...again. There's a couple of pretty good dips on 105 outside of Woodville that always flood. I'll call them later today.

You're welcome. Don't want to worry you but knew you'd want to know. Things are ok so far though. The Blade doesn't have much on it yet, except school closings, as far as I know, but the news stations are on it. Here's some on it.

Thanks. Bookmarked the link this time. I forget to search the tv stations sometimes. Now the Blade and the NewsHerald are limiting the amount of articles I can read without a subscription.

Poor Findlay. They always float, don't they? I guess this is just the price of living in the old Black Swamp! Awesome dirt, though!LOL

I'm sure the folks are ok, except the yard and the field behind them are probably flooded. Packer Creek is in town, far enough away from them. Big Bro, on the other hand is a couple of houses away from it AND has a basement.
 Quoting: Texan Buckeye

Ugh. Poor bro. Hope he's got a good sump pump. Yeah, Findlay always gets it. Thought they'd done some clearing and had things a little better, but here they are again. It's creeping into the pasture in a couple places but not too bad yet.

Here's the 11 and 24 news links too. Sometimes one station is better than the others at covering things. Weather.com has the flood levels too, and where things are at, on their warnings.

Better get busy now. Day has hardly begun and I'm tired. LOL. Have a great day!

Findlay does work every year, I think, or pretty close to it. After last year's flood, I thought they had it fixed, too. Have a good one. I'm fighting the crud again. Got some Sudafed yesterday and some collodial silver nasal spray. Hopefully, that will finish this junk off. I'm tired of coughing. It gets better, I think it's gone and then it's back again. It didn't help we went from 85 to 30 something in an hour the other day. It's supposed to be 90 on Sunday. Hubs has it too.

Can't handle Mucinex. Makes life worse, in so many ways! As soon as hubs gets up, I'm going to try to sleep in bed. I slept in the recliner, so I wouldn't plug up again. Dang chair! The sudafed DID help, though. All that dust the other day started it up again.

TB hope you get to feeling better. Can you take some local honey and ACV? The local honey helps a lot and the ACV keeps you healthy. I have been taking them for a few years now and rarely get anything but lazy.

Nines and anyone else in the bad weather areas, stay safe. I haven't seen the news in a few days, so I had no idea. I have been busy, busy, busy running around the past few days and ready to drop when I get done.

Thanks Flav. It's not really a big issue. Just some usual flooding....that comes before the drought. LOL. It should be going down right now. The bright side is that spring has sprung. 8)

Sounds like you're pushed to the limit. Get some rest so you don't end up sick.

Today I did my soap photo shoot, it took all day! I didn't have that planned! I thought it would be about 3 hours.

Ran straight from there to Bunco, at least that was fun. The photo shoot was fun for a few hours then I got bored.

TB - hope the flooding isn't too bad for your brother and dad.

Flava - I bet the soaps look good enough to eat.

Mama - You ok after the storms that way?

As for us, we are dog sitting for hubs best friend from childhood. He lives out of town now but his parents are still local. His mom has had breast cancer and is on hospice now. Needless to say, they had to come down quickly and didn't have time to make arrangements for the dog. She kept us up till 4:30 am whining and crying. Looks like tonight will be more of the same. Think I'm going to give her some benadryl and see if that calms her down. I must have some sleep. I almost fell asleep at my desk today!

Poor dog missing his family. Sorry to hear about your friends mom, its good of you to take the dog and relieve them of that stress, Im sure they have enough.

I never tried benedryl on a dog but it does put humans to sleep so why not dogs. You could make him some rice cooked in chicken broth with some dog food mixed it, that will fill his belly and give him a nice food coma! and he will like you more for giving him such a nice treat.

Thanks everyone. We're sort of feeling better. Hubs has been working too much this week and the next couple won't be any better. He'll be back on overnights until he can hire and train another person. This week the hotel had one of their corporate inspections and Little Dribblers is in town for basketball tournaments. It's kind of like Little League only for basketball. They'll end up with a state tournament. I don't think it goes national.

Sudafed is helping, but for the first time ever, it's keeping me awake! Usually, it makes me sleepy.

Good news, little dog settled down and let us sleep. Bad news, hubby's best friend had a heart attack yesterday while out helping care for his mom. Spent lots of time at the hospital and running back and forth to his mom's to help out where we could. I'm thinking maybe work is more restful. I should just shut my office door and take a nap.

Thanks everyone for the "Get Well Soon's"! Hopefully, they'll work. It seems like I've been fighting this crud since New Year's, off and on.

The town that stayed at hub's hotel did really well again this year. The 2 girl's teams won. I was wrong about it being a state tourney, it was national. The boy's team got 2nd place by 1 point. They were so disappointed. The littlest girl's team lost in the semi-finals. They're kind of like the t-ball of basketball, so they didn't mind!LOL

Hard Eight, as far as I know SPC still has it. It's one of their big claims to fame. They still have the yearly Bluegrass summer session/camp for a couple of weeks. People come from all over the world for it. The big oil boom has moved south to Midland/Odessa mostly. Housing is pretty desperate south of here. Workers are living in campers and even tents. Some of the oil companies have bought older hotels and turned them into basically boarding houses for the workers. Real basic. They're caught in a Catch-22 down there. They need more housing. They can't get any built, because there's nowhere for the builders to stay while they would be there to build more housing!

I'm afraid you won't get the same breakfast, if you stay again. The owner wanted to upgrade the hotel, that's one reason hubs hired a breakfast cook. The "ladies" all had issues. The last one was flat out crazy. Then the oil workers all moved on and there wasn't enough business to justify the extra. Now, it's the same as everywhere else. Except, the owner likes to spend a dollar to save a penny. Hubs tries to explain things to him, but we're stupid Americans sometimes, and just don't know anything. GGRRRRrrrrr. I probably shouldn't say anything else. I was going to take that out, but, oh well.

They said on the news that we haven't officially hit 90 yet in Lubbock, but we have unofficially. We're supposed to today and then, back down to the 60's and 50's again later in the week. I want to plant my tomatoes, but it keeps going down to freezing at night. I'll wait one more week. We NEED rain!

Oh yeah. I've finally named Doggie. Her name is Digger. She just can't help herself. At this point, I don't care if she likes it or not!LOL You should see our yard. Too bad she doesn't want to dig in one spot out in the back acre. We could use a storm shelter! I thought she lost her tennis ball/rope toy right after I gave it to her. NO! She was hiding it. She brought it to me last night. Silly girl!

Well, that's my latest chapter in the Great American Novel. I better get going and do something productive!LOL Catch you guys later!

My niece and her husband are fine, they live in Boston and he works at the hospital, and my friend is also fine, she flew up there to be in the marathon with her boyfriend. They were separated during the race to due their different speeds and it was difficult and took a while but they found each other after the race. They had places where they took all the runners to so they could reunite with those they were there with and identify people who could not speak.

Couldn't get thru cause they cut off cell phone usage in the area up in Boston

I hear ya. I was doing my video workout and when it ended I switched to the tv and there it was.

I missed the pres speech, no great loss! I have been trying to get out of a slump myself lately. Have no desire to do much of anything even though I see all sorts of things that need doing, and that feeling perpetuates itself so, today I got up and started right away with cleaning the kitchen and family room, did some laundry, weeded all the garden beds and the main garden and I feel much better about myself having gotten stuff done.

I still need to add a bunch of stuff to my website and make a facebook page for my stuff, but I HATE doing that stuff so I keep putting it off.

I need to find someone to swap products for computer work cause I find it right up there with cleaning toilets and changing sheets both of which I hate doing, but at least I do them, the computer stuff isn't as important but it should be

I'm glad (I think) to hear I'm not the only one. I was a laundry foldin' fool all weekend and today, I'm a mess of sore muscles. It always happens after pulling wet stuff out of the washer and into the dryer. We're supposed to have another dust storm on Wed. because of a cold front, so I'm waiting a few days for gardening. AGAIN!

I hear you about cleaning the bathroom! That's the one job I hate the most! It's not as bad now, though, with the kids gone! I think I'm going to bake tomorrow. No sense cleaning after the last dust storm, with another one in 2 days. It'll be cooler after Wed. anyway. 88 today and tomorrow.
