That would still put her within a couple weeks of the expected delivery time though, right?
 Quoting: Nine's

Yeah, just a couple of weeks and that's not a big deal. Much better than almost 2 monthes early!
 Quoting: Texan Buckeye

Absolutely! Much better and gives you a lot less to worry about too.

Guess I better get moving. Looks like the site is getting glitchy again and it makes me feel stupid sitting here refreshing a page when daylight hrs. are burning. And it's a sunny day, even if it is cold. Nice one to bring in a ton of wood in case the weather report is right. You have a great one, TB and I'll catch you later.

I have to go for awhile, too. Lot's of things to do, since the wind isn't up yet. Catch y'all later on!
 Quoting: Texan Buckeye

Now it stopped glitching. If I go now, it will glitch when I get back. Stay while it's working, or work and hope it's ok when I'm done. Decisions decisions. LOL.

Who said anything about being motivated!?! I hurt from playing in the dirt yesterday. I'm still having a gown day, but that's about to change! I think today is baking day and starting laundry later day! Yard work tomorrow or the next day! I'm GOING to prune that other bush if it kills me! I've got hubs convinced (FINALLY) to replace the dead trees with fruit trees. We'll see how far I get with THAT one! If I can find dwarf or semi-dwarf, then we PLANT!!! I don't want full size, too big for me to take care of.

Did you check Stark Bros? They used to have quite a few dwarfs. Haven't checked them or their prices this year, but they've always had good healthy plants that thrive.

I have them in my favorites, but I've never order anything like trees before. I think I'd rather get them locally. Our stores get them from good companies, as long as I avoid Wallie. Even their's aren't too bad, but they get them SO late. It's too hot by then. Our nurseries are just now starting to get them in, so I'll keep checking for now. My berrys are from a well known Dutch company, just can't remember the name off-hand.

Re: Coffee Klatch
Ok, the forum is behaving itself, so Hard Eight, here is the ice cream chili I promised you.

This makes quite a bit, so make sure you have room in your freezer for it. You can cut the recipe down, it's really about taste and illusion! This is how I made it for the kid's cook-off. The sizes of the ingredients have changed some, but it will still be good. You'll need a very large bowl or pan to mix it in, too.

1 large tub/bucket of strawberry or vanilla ice cream
(it used to be 6 quarts, I think it's 5 now)

1 and 1/2 large pack of chocolate/chocolate cream sandwich cookies
( I use the store brand kind. HE, think United's
cookies)

1 large bag of frozen strawberries, mashed, with juice
(if you are using vanilla ice cream, use 2 bags)

2 or 3 small bags of chocolate covered raisins
( this depends on your taste, they do get frozen,
but you need some)

Crush the cookies in a large, zip-lock bag with a rolling pin. Some of the pieces need to be larger, so don't use a food processor. You don't have to crush all the cookies at once, you may not want that many. You will need the first package, though.

Soften the ice cream just enough to be able to stir in the ingredients with a STURDY large spoon! I've broken wooden spoons in this, so a metal spoon is best. No mixer. Sorry!

Mix in the strawberries. If you're using vanilla, you'll have to mix it a little longer to get the red color.

Add the crushed cookies. Don't add them all at once, until you see if you like the amount. Remember, illusion, it's supposed to look like chili...sort of!

Add the raisins, again to your taste.

Get the sucker in the freezer to re-freeze!!! It won't all fit back in the bucket the ice cream came in. You'll need another bucket.

Ok, the ice cream is the soup part of the chili, the strawberries the tomatoes, the cookies the meat, the raisins, the beans. Why they wouldn't let me enter it as a chili, I really can't understand!!!LOLOL BUT...they always requested it for dessert!

Forgot to say, don't let the ice cream get really soupy. If it's melting too fast, put it in the freezer for a few minutes and start again. Everyone thought I made this in an ice cream freezer from scratch. Not!

that sounds very tood TB but I would have to use either dried cranberries or goobers since I hate chocolate covered raisins.

My family might get lucky this summer, I will make it for them if they are nice.

By the way, seems all plants have so far survived the two nights of cold with our rigged up coverings. YEAY

You could use goobers. We just didn't because it was for church and a lot of the older people couldn't eat them. Idk about strawberries and cranberries. If you do that, let me know how it is.

Re: Coffee Klatch
We have had a few days of sunshine. I tell you, it really does improve my mood. I've been looking at the Territorial Seed catalog and trying to plan out what to plant this year. My little lemon tree has gotten scale bugs. I'm fighting them by blasting them off with water. Might have to use some neem oil or something though. I think it was the warm house that let them live, so I've moved it to the garage close the the window for light. I hope it survives! I loved having little Meyer Lemons, and the blossoms smell so good. I have been thinking about adding a Kefir Lime if I can keep the lemon tree alive.
