Hi SO. Glad you recovered from your food poisoning. Terrible thing to happen!

Makes two of us wanting to get some planting done. Glad it was sunny for you today even if it was cool. It'll be so good to be warm again and enjoying outdoors!

Me too. Was thinking the same thing today. After two days of no sun and only gloom, it makes a person edgy. LOL. At least the ducks were happy and the robins have returned. There's hope. It'll be here soon. 8)

We're home for the time being! Hopefully, until morning. The kids are doing well. Poor dil is SO sick of being in bed! AND, now she has to suffer with a hospital bed. She told me the dealie they are using to thin her cervix is like a flat tampon with medication in it. They were watching WWF when we were there!LOL When we were leaving, the baby/elevator alarm went off and we had to wait awhile. Don't know who or what set it off, but no baby was going to leave THAT floor. The nurses told us sometimes they get too close to the elevators when they move a baby and it will go off. Boy, things have changed a lot since I had my kids.

Anyway, I just popped on to let you all know the latest and to check up on the news.

Gather round and grab a cup of coffee for the baby update.

TB is still at the hospital. She can't post from her phone because of the tiny screen but wants me to let you guys know. DIL is approx. 8cm dilated. Mom and baby are still doing fine. Dr. said this morning that he expects a baby somewhere between 3 and 6 but TB doesn't expect to be home till late tonight.

She didn't mention DS but that's probably a good thing. Means he's hanging in there and hasn't passed out on the floor yet. 8)

Even her text sounded tired. LOL. Imagine she's had quite a day, but she wanted you guys to know!

Awww, hugs right back to you Mama.

Haven't heard from TB. Either she's hanging at the hospital waiting to get her hands on that baby, or she's at home passed out. It was a long, hard day for her yesterday, so when she recovers, I'm sure she'll report in. I better make coffee. 8)

Congrats Grandma! Did you get to hold her yet? Does she have hair? Does she have a name yet?

Look at how many 3's you can make in her statistics. Wow!

Good thing she was born now instead of waiting longer. They'd have needed a hoist to lift her out. She's a big baby! Bet you are worn out. Her Mama is probably pretty tired too!

Ok, the forum seems to be working for now, so I'll try again.

Baby had slight fever last night, blood sugar low and a little jaundice. Nothing too unusual. I haven't heard from the kids, so all is good.

It's a good thing baby came 2 weeks early, otherwise I think mom would've had to have a c-section. They told her she has a heart shaped pelvis. They should get to go home tomorrow, if everything is ok.

I'm trying to think of everything I tried to post before, but drawing a blank!LOL We got home around midnight, so not a lot of sleep. My daughter and her family are coming in this weekend, too, so busy, busy, busy!!LOLOL We'll just be missing youngest son. He comes back from spring break this weekend and back to school.wakeup

Right now, I'm doing a lot of this!coffee4 It's not helping much. I'll post more after we get back tonight...IF I can get on! And yes, Flav...hands AND feet!

Re: Coffee Klatch
Thanks everyone! It's been a very long month and weekend!LOL I got to hold her tonight. She's such a tiny, sweet baby. We're going back up tomorrow morning before they go home. I found the little quilt my gram made for son. It just happens to be PINK! My poor gram always wanted more girls. She just didn't get them. I was the only girl for about 10 years, until my cousin was born. My daughter was the only girl for about 16 years, before my niece came along. Now, we have 3 girls to 1 boy. I wonder if she's putting in orders from heaven!LOL It'd be like her.

Anyway, we all survived! Baby K is doing very well today and mom is in her glory. Poor son had to change a poopie diaper in front of WAY too many "helpful" females tonight! AND, we saved him from doom by buying roses for mom and daughter! We just told dil that we just picked them up! Not really a lie, is it!?!

I have more to the story, that has NOTHING to do with babies, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow. My fingers are on strike!LOL

Re: Coffee Klatch
Awww, TB what a sweet story and what a nice thing to do about the roses.

Maybe you should give them a week, then offer to babysit. They might be ready for a good nite's rest by then. Glad you got to hold the little sweetie.

It sounds like you're going to have your hands more than full for a while. Just wow. Think I'd just want to collapse for a while.

Don't bother answering this. I know your poor fingers....and body are just worn out.

Getting ready to snuggle in for the night and hearing about the baby, Grandma, the quilt, the roses, proud Mama, diaper changing Daddy, almost seems like a nice bedtime story. Thanks for sharing it. 8) Don't forget to take care of yourself!

Re: Coffee Klatch
Nine's,HELP!!!! I may have just been adopted by a VERY LARGE female german shepherd. Probably a dump. She MAY be having puppies, I'm not sure. She's only been here about an hour. I've fed and watered her and put Buddy in his kennel. She's at least 2x as big as he is! She's very sweet and following me all over and wants in the house. She is definatly TOO big for our house! The thing is, she's got very slight bleeding vaginally. It's a little swollen looking too. I thought she had already weaned a litter, but maybe not. She's got something just below her rib cage, but I don't want to poke around too much.

She's a little underfed, but not too much. Her ribs are showing and her skin is a little too loose, I think. BUT, she hasn't missed too many meals. OMG, she is HUGE!! She has her collar, but she doesn't have her tag. She does have the little ring it should be on, though. She could've lost the tag. Bud has lost his a couple of times. Bud is wagging his tail in his kennel, but he's talking up a storm. I can't let him out, he's sensing something is wrong with her. I don't think she's got puppies in the out buildings, Bud would've told me about her before this. She just walked in, I think.

I have had dogs that where PART german shephard, but never a full one. What do you think? Figures, we're having a dust storm today, too. Thankfully, it's easing up some now. Got any advice? What to look for? Why do these babies always get dumped off after the vet closes for the day? I'll call them in the morning. I'm sure she'll still be here. Don't shephards sometimes have only one pup?

I'll be back. I want to check on her again.

Hahaha!! I will. I'm worried about the bleeding. She's starting to spot on her fur. I've done TONS of litters of kittens, but NEVER puppies. I already called all the neighbors I know out here and no one has a shephard. Buddy has calmed down for now. He keeps trying to pee on her through the chainlink!LOL He'll be ok with her. He didn't rush the gate when I went in to feed him. I wish I had a frig carton or something for her, though. She's the most gentle dog. This makes 3 dumped off dogs with the sweetest temperament. I can never figure out why people just don't try to find a home for them. Makes me mad.
