Quoting: Texan Buckeye Girl, you have given me a great idea for gifts for my 2 brides to be this summer! Let me make a couple of phone calls this week and I'll get back with you to see if it's possible. ok glad I could help why dont you post a thread asking to name the dog. Post a pic if you can and see what the glp'ers come up with, maybe you will like one of the names. I thought of that, but hubs hasn't e-mailed the pic he took yet. My pics from my phone look terrible. She has such sad eyes, I've been thinking of Sadie. It's kind of over used though. What about Phaedra? Sounds like Sadie but it's different. She made me think of Phaedra when you told about her. Do you remember the song? I heard that song when Art Bell was still on the radio. I don't remember it before that. I don't know. You guys have come up with really good names. It usually takes me awhile to name the critters. I watch them for a few days to see who they are. I'll ask her in the morning which one she likes best! Maybe she'll answer. I'll let you know. |

We decided we would bring her home named so the kids didnt fight over who would name her. So we had picked out a name and when the kids came in my son who was only about 5 at the time ran right over to her, hugged her and said Brandy I love you. Thats what her name ended up being. Dont even remember what the one we had picked out was cause the girls just assumed we named her I guess cause there was never a fuss over the name. |

The very first dog we ever owned, was my big brother's really. My dad decided her name should be Skeeter, because of all the mosquitoes that night. I don't remember how, exactly, but she ended up Skipper. I think my little brother couldn't say skeeter quite right. Too long ago!LOL I was in 1st grade! |

Anyways, we named all the dogs knowing we were keeping Teddy bear and there were 2 other girls so we named one blackie and the other Big girl since she was the biggest girl. We knew it would be temporary till her new owners took her. She turned out to be afraid of the dark and at night she would cry and wake up the other pups and the kids, and keep us up, so I pulled her into bed with me and we became attached. The male dog owners couldnt stand to take her when they saw how attached she was to me and we kept her. She kept her name for 15 yrs, although we shortened it up to just biggie |

Had some leftover beans, a couple leftover corn tortillas, so I crisped the tortillas, smashed the leftover navy beans, spread them on the crisp tortilla, topped it with cheese, snitched a piece of the dogs meat that was thawing for tomorrow and browned it, put it on and topped with lettuce with a broken shell mixed in, sprinkled some chunky salsa and topped with sour cream. Stuffed. LOL. Last Edited by Nine's - IN MEMORIAM on 03/25/2013 09:36 PM |
