My oldest says shes gonna have one child and bring it to aunte Nay to take care of. My younger child has a way with babies and kids.

Im always reading here! My 3 year old sticks to me like glue! Can't get anything done. Always reading, but sometimes hard for me to post! Rough day with her! I am physically done!!!!!

Aw, Mama. That's such a hard age. Before you know it, you'll be taking her to pre-school and kindergarten. In a couple of more years, she won't want you to hug her in public. Enjoy her today. I miss baby hugs!! They're the best on the planet!! It IS hard right now. My daughter is finding out, too. Em is just over 2. It's so hard for me not to giggle! Em has a very long way to go before she can top her mother's antic's!!!for mama's!

As funny as the child is, she also thinks she is the CEO of the family! Its her way or no way! Definitely trying! I am too old for this! LOL

Did you ever stop to think that the things we admire in adults are the things that drive us crazy in children? LOL.
There's a good chance she won't be walked over or taken advantage of as an adult.

With the challenges it presents, you may not live long enough to see it and be proud, but when you're gasping your last exhausted breath, tell yourself what a good job you did Mama.

Been there, done that, and cause I have girls, they took the t shirt.

Just wait till they borrow your clothes and shoes, without asking, and you either get it back stained, dont get it back ever, or get it back when they toss a bag of stuff to you they no longer want (and its no longer in style).

My husband thought that was just so funny but the last laugh is on him, my son and him are the same size and both have stopped growing! At least the girls surpassed me after a few years and couldnt wear my stuff anymore.

I have a question everyone, two actually.

Artichokes, anyone grown them? Do you gete more than one peice of fruit or only one per plant? This thing is friggin huge and if we end up with only one damn artichoke its not worth it. Its gotta be 5 ft diameter.

Corn we are starting to get small corn, so the question is if I pick them when they are ready, will more corn grow since its so early in the season? Do I have to do anything to the plant to get it to produce more or is it a one and done sorta thing?

Aww Mama, did you ever hear that expression, "the wildest colts make the best horses"? Had to keep that one in mind constantly when DS was probably the same age.

Instead of asking yourself what you're doing wrong, look at what you're doing right. You have healthy children with unique personalities. You're allowing that development and trying to keep it in bounds that keep everyone safe and sane. It's not an easy thing to do, but you're doing it.

Think of when your husband was sick, or his back hurt? For some reason, he was in bed. The girls took him food. Remember that? Even the little one, all proud. They wouldn't have done that without your guidance. We raise out children to be independent. Bet that young one has a head start in that direction.

I know it's hard for you. I had a wild colt too, but the saying is true. Hang in there. Hard to believe now, but some day you'll look back and smile at how exhausted, frustrated, and worried you were.

No, sicko who gets a kick out of things that you shouldn't get a kick out of, you only get a one and done on the corn. No seconds. If you hadn't gotten a kick out of Mama's troubles there, that corn might have blessed you, but nope, not now. LOL.

Seriously, the corn is one and done. Won't grow more. Never grew artichokes and don't remember reading about raising them, so couldn't tell you about them.

I am getting a kick out of it cause it brings back fond memories, although I wasn't to fond of it at the time!

I promise Mama, you will look back on it with a smile on your face. Nines is right, she will probably be a real go getter, not taking no for an answer gets you far in life.

Yeah, been watching it. The beginning of the front just got here. It wasn't supposed to until around noon. We've got a chance of sleet mix, but mostly east of Lubbock. Who knows? Thanks for the heads-up. What's your chances of snow? I hope it clears out quick, the kids are supposed to drive home from Mansfield on Friday.

We get cold tomorrow last I heard, 57-37 and hopefully rain. 84 today.

Y'all, check out the video in the OP. Kleenex alert! But, very good!

Flava - we have an artichoke plant. It's been in a few years now. We get a couple dozen chokes from it each season. I like to pick them when they are small so the fuzzy choke isn't developed yet. It does take up some space but doesn't require much in the way of care.

Thanks TB good to know the monster isn't gonna give just one.

Sorry Flav. I'd love to take credit, but it was SO. I didn't even decide I LIKED artichokes until last year!LOL

A few years? Is it a perennial? Is it pretty? Hmmm.

Gosh, that's the second time in that many weeks I have done that. I swear Im going off the deep end.

In other news... the first house my daughter put an offer and and didn't get, well the house didn't appraise for the amount that the person who did get the house offered. The nut offered 15k over asking price we found out today.

Anyway, he then said he could only pay two thousand over appraisal which was 13k less than his offer, and the seller was so pissed he called us and said if you want the house at the same price I would much rather see you get it, so we are moving forward.

Then my middle daughter is moving into one of my condo's, she was going to go lease something and she graduates college in August. I didn't want her stressing over rent money and screw up school, so I am renting her my place for 500. I usually charge 800 and I told her if she got a room mate she could have them pay 400 and she pay 100, but she wants to do it all herself first, if she finds it hard she will get the room mate. This way if she hates it she can move back home, and if she gets a job that isn't local she doesn't have to worry about getting out of a lease. So in two months I will have 2 guest rooms.

My son had plans for those two rooms, had to smack him upside the head! I get the biggest kick out of him sometimes. Totally serious he wants to make one of the rooms into an aquarium with floor to ceiling fish tanks. I cant stand fish! Waste of time and work for no good reason. So I told him I had no problem with that if he wanted to rent the room from me, that shut him right up. He will stick with his one tank in his room and in the end were all happy

Wow, Flav. You are a great manager. Seriously impressed with that planning. What a great idea about the condo. I'm happy the other daughter gets a chance again at the house she originally wanted. Bet she was on cloud nine.

Poor son. Always left out. Can't even get the girls hand me down rooms to have his fish. Probably had flashbacks of you not making the school event while having your gall bladder out.

Hi, guys. I think the wind is going to blow us to old Mexico tonight!! That big cold front is here. Watch out for it when it gets to y'all. It's a doozy!! I'm not sure if we're going to get rain, rain/sleet or rain/sleet/snow. They keep changing it!LOL At least, they keep saying we won't get more the a tenth of an inch! Crap! That's the part we need! Anyway, that's why I'm mostly reading today. The wind is blowing the internet around, too!

It was 80 here today, and wait for it.....sunny! LOL. It actually got hot outside working in the afternoon because it was bright sun and very little breeze. Hope it stays that way.

We don't have anything like that in the next 10 day forecast. Hope yours blows on out real fast. Those strong winds are worrisome. Hope you get some rain out of it, without the wind and bitter cold.

It was 92 yesterday and it's 43 right now. Wind gusting to 40-45 mph. AGAIN! We're supposed to have the wind until tomorrow night. GGGGRRRRRR!!!!!

Hoo boy. Hope they're wrong about it lasting that long. Bet it's scary hearing those winds howling. It unnerving for a while, but really wears on you when it lasts a while.

Don't know how you can breathe with that big a temperature change in such short time. That would be real hard to handle.
