She knows she did wrong, and she just texted me asking for another eyeshadow, she loves the ones I make, I have a good mind to throw some lye in it, but I am just not that person. She will get hers thru karma. Texted her back to pick it up tomorrow, but I don't have any made up, not gonna make it up either, just gonna make her drive the 30 mins each way, just cause I can.
Hope my kid doesn't let it slip about yesterday and in a few months, she can look like an asshole when my daughter isn't pregnant

Re: Coffee Klatch
Flav, is your daughter having any pain, cramps, spotting, bleeding, or any other signs that she may be having problems?
If not, is there a reason the Drs. want to remove the baby right away?

They've made many mistakes with ultrasound. Many. Is there a reason she couldn't keep going for a while without ultrasound to see if anything has changed?

No, she hasn't had any issues yet.
When they did the ultrasound yesterday there had been no heartbeat and no growth since last ultrasound 4 wks ago.

But.. when she came over this weekend she had a baby bump and being her first I was shocked it was way to big for 11 wks.

I said she should watch what she eats cause it goes on easier than it comes off, and boy did that piss her off. She told me she was doing just fine and had gained 4 lbs so far.

So glad nothing has been done yet. Didn't want to share these links if it had but there are many misdiagnosis. I know of one in my area that almost had a horrible outcome because of their incompetence.

They said the baby wasn't growing, and she needed to be thinking about whether or not to continue the pregnancy. The mother was gaining but the baby was supposedly not developing the way it should or in weight it should be.

They'd done ultrasounds from early on, supposedly because the mother had a seizure disorder and they were concerned about the effect of the meds on the baby.

She refused further ultrasounds and the baby weighed over 7 lbs. at birth. All they accomplished was scaring the mother. Not good for the baby to have an upset, scared mother.

I still think they could be wrong. If you don't want these links, fine, but in case you do:

"As often happens in medicine, techniques which may be of value to a small percentage of people slowly become adopted for routine use without prior study of benefits."

"The problem with this approach, of course, is that when we perform a procedure or administer a treatment to a segment of the population without properly testing it beforehand, we are essentially conducting an uncontrolled scientific experiment on that population – often without their understanding and consent. And in this case, we are performing that uncontrolled experiment on two of the most vulnerable populations: pregnant women and babies in the womb."

Ultrasound - just looking can hurt!

commercial companies offering parents lengthy ultrasound ‘videos’ of their baby moving inside the womb. (The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns that ultrasound cannot be considered harmless, even at low levels, and is considering regulatory action against these companies)

Plenty of supporting references after the article at:
[link to www.midwiferytoday.com]

Three randomised controlled trials of Doppler Sound, the powerful form of ultrasound now used in most hospitals, have found an up to fourfold increase in perinatal (just before or after birth) deaths. [1] One large study found 20 miscarriages in the group given ultrasound scans, but none in the group which was not. [2] Another reported a doubling of pre-term labour in the scanned group. [3] Another linked ultrasound scanning to retardation of the baby's growth in the womb. [4]

In one instance at a hospital in Cardiff (Wales), ultrasound scans detected `dead' babies which were subsequently found to be alive just before the induced miscarriage was to be performed.

Exactly. We shall defend our young. I doubt the girl meant any harm as she didn't know the whole story. But, and I mean a big but at that, you don't tell another's story. It was your daughters to tell when she was ready.

I'm glad you are able to spend some one on one time with her. Even though mom can't fix everything, we can sure be there to help put the pieces back together when needed. You are a great mom!

Well, I think she is feeling much better today but as she says she is a minute to minute mess. I really have to give credit to her BF, he took her fishing on the river yesterday, they road bikes there which is only about a mile , than they came home showered, he took her out for dinner and stopped and picked up bridesmaids the movie. Its a comedy and she had never seen it.

Today, she did some scrapbooking and crafty stuff. I think she is trying to keep her mind off tomorrow.

Sounds like she's got a real sweetheart there, Flav. I'm happy for that. Must make you very happy knowing she's being treated so well.

It's good that she's occupying herself and doing something with her time. It will make for a faster recovery if she can stay positive and busy.

Hoping against hope that they check today and find out they were wrong. If not, she's going to need a lot of support.

The good thing is that she has a loving companion and family. It means so much. Will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

More than you know, Mama. More than you know. I just got back home and kind of caught up with the news. If I can stay awake, I'll explain tonight. If not, it'll have to wait until morning. A dream I had almost 20 years ago is starting to fall into place. I'm still trying to sort out Skinny Chic's post on the war thread, too.

Re: Coffee Klatch
Thanks Mama. Havent been around much the past few days.

She is doing very well now, thank god.

On another note, with all that is going on in the ME, as well as our internal problems at home, I feel like my biggest wish would be to take all politicians and radicals and drop them off on an island far from any other land with some supplies and let them build their new "country" however they would like but know they and only they are going to have to live in it. Then we could dump all these ridiculous laws and bills that benefit few and not the masses. I am sick of working hard so that someone can sit on their ass and collect enough tax payer money to drive a better car than me, wear nicer clothes than me, and live in just as nice a house as me.

I have no trouble sharing, but this isn't sharing, this is just downright scary. The worst of it all, is all these dependent on the government people will just keep voting another asshole into office to give them more. The old people can be told their medicare is going away if we don't vote for an asshole again and many will believe it.

Once they are back in office they can start the death panels and our parents will have substandard health care to eliminate the expense for the government. Just really pissing me off more than normal today

Hi guys! I didn't realize you were on. I'm still at home, hubs had to go down early. He left last Thursday. I'm not sure when I'm going down, yet. The house the boss tried to buy was sold to someone else. he was out bid. He's going to look at another one this week. I'm not going until it's for sure we have somewhere to live other than the hotel.

You're not alone in that hope. They've played it just right. Crash the economy. Young, invincible men seeing their families suffering, will want to be the rescuer and be willing to go for the promised pay and benefits.

Thing is, if they do, I think they won't be coming home.

They can't meet the obligations they have to the current retired/disabled/mentally finished veterans. When the remainder of them are home and retired, figure the payments. It's not there now and won't be there then. They'll find a way to eliminate that pay, and there isn't a method they choose that would surprise me.
