Hi guys! I didn't realize you were on. I'm still at home, hubs had to go down early. He left last Thursday. I'm not sure when I'm going down, yet. The house the boss tried to buy was sold to someone else. he was out bid. He's going to look at another one this week. I'm not going until it's for sure we have somewhere to live other than the hotel.

Cant blame you there TB. Especially with all the crap going down now, the last thing you need is to not know where your gonna be living. I hope he finds another nice place or that hubby gets to help pick.

There's only a couple of houses on the market. I was right about there not being anything there, too. Next to no shopping of ANY kind and only a couple of fast food places. I guess we'll go back to shopping once a month in the big city. I'll have to buy another freezer for down there.

makes you just want to bug out now into the woods for a year or ten. I just hate what this corruption in govt has done to my country. I used to be proud to be an American, I was appalled when Michelle Obama said she was embarrassed to be American, so now I guess she thinks America is great, but I am embarrassed by what our country is becoming and we cant blame anyone but our crappy leaders. They need an island I tell ya, with no way off!

Maybe you wont need as much food if its just the two of you. I still don't get why theres a hotel there if the town is so rinky dink.

What did the old boss say when he gave his notice anyway?

Guys, I'm going to tell you a dream/vision I had over 15 years ago. I'm not sure if I was awake or not, but it felt like I was. We were still living in base housing, we hadn't even found this house yet. We were actually trying to buy a 40 acre farm that was NW of where we were at the time. That's important to remember.

It was late at night and we were in bed. The blinds were closed on the windows. There was a street light right outside, but the tree blocked most of the light. I "heard" a voice calling my name and it seemed to be outside. I really froze when I heard that. Scared the tar out of me, because I'd never had an experience like that before or since. I really wanted to look outside, but I couldn't seem to move. The light got very bright and the voice said, "When the time comes move to this direction." I understood that to be to the SW.

Well, we ended up not getting the farm. I'm still kind of bummed about that, but the house we DID buy was SW of where we were living. Even weirder now, the new job is even MORE SW.

A couple of years later, I had a dream that has stuck with me. It's just now starting to make sense, but not in the way I thought it would. All the kids were still young and at home when I had the dream. In the dream, I was outside with my daughter and a little one that I thought was my youngest son. Hubs and oldest son were gone, somewhere else. I never knew where. Foreign troops were coming in from the South, not many, maybe around 10 or so. They were Dutch. Then the dream ended.

With hubs at his new job and oldest son married, youngest son at work, daughter living in a very large city with a little one about the right age, I'm starting to wonder what it means. I think I know, but I'm just waiting and watching. Maybe I won't be moving. Idk, we'll just have to see.

There's something like 8 hotels in the town. Mostly oil field workers stay there. A few travelers, but mostly workers.

The old boss was falling all over himself, but it was just the same old song and dance. The new place is a real mess, personnel wise. It's going to take a lot to get it back into shape.

Ok, I have to look at what I typed though. Moving to the SW was to move in a safe direction. I always wanted to put a gate up at the driveway with a name. You know like the ranches do. I named our place Sanctuary. I still feel it will be a safe haven when TSHF. I wonder about us moving even more SW, though.

The dream was about a take over of our country in some form. I'm not sure about details, based on the dream. I could never understand why all my guys were gone and why daughter and little one and I were alone. Until now. If they came home for safety reasons, it would be that way. We would be alone. I remember thinking the troops were invaders, but when I tried to speak my little bit of Dutch to them, they understood and we were ok. That's really all there was to it.

Thanks TB for clarifying. I think that we may be taken over in some form, not sure if by our own govt or foreign. Lord knows we have sleeper cells thru the country and maybe even our incompetent president is one.

Either way I feel like the life I grew up with is not what my grandkids will grow up with and that is a damn shame.

All the plants are doing strange things this year. I always have tons of tomatoes, you must remember me bitching about it the past few years. This year we planted two bushes, should have had more than enough tomatoes from them, but we have had a very small amount this year, and the green beans flowered like mad but only half the amount of actual beans. Don't get me wrong, still a lot, but not enough to can and they were not nearly as good this year as other years. The skins were stringy. The loofah are coming along really slow this year too. Even the grass only needs cutting once a week, which is a blessing but not normal for summers here.

Nothing I planted this year made it. It wasn't anywhere near as hot as normal, either. We've hardly had any 100 degree days. I don't know why. We've even had some rain this year, too.

As miserable as you must feel, my "snotty nosed friend" should have waited. LOL. You know I was kidding, but when you feel bad, things aren't humorous. Poor thing.

Vicks will help without the socks. It's just to keep your feet warm and not get dust bunnies and grit on the salve. I'd use it if I were you. Maybe you could fix a pitcher of iced lemon water, or tea and have it by you.

Off topic, but if you haven't told your daughter about your dream, seems like a good time to do it. I'm guessing you're
SW of her?

Anyway, on a cheery note:

Maybe kind of weird in the way it happened, but maybe not. Mothers know things. When instinct was what people had to stay alive, they "knew" things. It feels like people have lost the ability to sense things, or "know".

Interesting that you're SW of them, and that's the direction you...or the person with the little girl, was supposed to go.
