They won’t start owing us interest till 45 days after April 15th BUT that’s non compound interest for sure and I am pretty sure that interest rate is based off the federal funds rate which is at 0.25%! Quoting: Saddletramp Because it was part of an extension tax bill. The following filing date of the extension revert back to the old tax code. This is not a new tax bill. The bush tax cuts was a temporary tax bill when he signed the bill.It was not a new tax code. The bill said as soon as the temp tax rate expired in 2010 all tax filings would revert back to the proper tax code. The temporary tax relief bill as bush called it at the time , was signed at the end up the year , and everyone filed under the new bill the new year. It was written as the same when it ended. Obama just extended it . Everyone was suppose to go back to the old tax code in 2011 filing. Last Edited by <x> on 02/21/2013 09:26 PM |
