Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34126874 Ever seen a map of all the salt caverns and the fields of gas under them. The miles of gas lines. That whole Coastal Area and the New Madrid probably with it. Its all interconnected. Its all unstable now. This is so bad you have no idea. There are no words to describe what this could do. Come on guys everything is crumbling before your eyes and the sea beds are ripping open. BP Maconda is leaking again. Hello. Get moving. |
Anonymouse1432 User ID: 33437153 United States 02/22/2013 01:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A sinkhole that started out small has grown to about 10 feet in diameter -- and several feet deep. That's according to some who work in the 4000 block of Michoud Blvd., near Gentilly Road, where the once pothole-sized crevasse has expanded dramatically over a 3-month span. Images sent to WDSU show one lane of the street fully consumed by the sinkhole. The second lane is marked with a warning barrel. It too is beginning to disintegrate. WDSU contacted officials at City Hall to inquire about efforts or plans to address the problem. A spokesman said he would make certain the Public Works Department was aware of the matter. It means that the caverns are collaspeing into each other and there is now an ever growing connection like a tube/channel opening up. Soon it will UNDERMINE the whole area and when its finished then it all begins. Its close. |

Its close. basically it's just getting worse every day. so people who choose to keep living there are doing so out of ignorace or foolishness. it isn't getting better, ever. the salt will continue to dissolve into the groundwater and the natural gas will find ways back up through cracks.. plus the oil from deepwater horizon isn't going anywhere.. and the amount of earthquakes along that new madrid in the past 2 years, fuck me sideways if these aren't enough signs to LEAVE LOUISIANA NOW then nothing will be. The Lake Peigneur is very disturbing that its bubbling again. It means that the caverns are collaspeing into each other and there is now an ever growing connection like a tube/channel opening up. Soon it will UNDERMINE the whole area and when its finished then it all begins. Its close. Exactly right. Why can we understand this and the experts seem to be baffled? I read in a geological study rcently that the Gulf area and Southern Louisiana area have over 600 salt domes of record. Some are so deep that their bottom depth is unknown, and these are the ones that in my opinion reach together at the base and attach to salt domes under the Gulf of Mexico. This is where it all connects to the BP Gulf oil disaster and the current situation where gas is flowing freely in the Gulf. I think if they plug that flow in the Gulf it will have an additional and disasterous back up effect on the Bayou area. This is all just my opinion after reading about this for the last many months. |
