San Diego WTF! just saw my 1st meteor drop !

bakersfeild ca, just saw a green meteor come down and break up just a few minutes ago...

Calimesa, CA saw it here too. That thing was huge.

I saw it on my way home earlier. Neon green! I thought I was seeing things haha

Saw it here in Whittier, 10 miles southeast of LA. Lookin to the NW kinda towards downtown

How big was it compared to the ones we all saw in the russian videos? Shooting stars are neat, and we've all seen dozens, if not hundreds. I take it that this was not a "shooting star". So...how big would you estimate it to be?

I've seen shooting stars but nothing like that. More like the one in Miami...not the one in Russia. It was a t r i p.

Cool. Wish I could have seen it, but kinda glad I didn't at the same time.

Any news guys about it landing? It looked big to me and I've never seen anything like that before. It freaked me out O.O

If anyone could tell what direction it was moving, it would be very helpful in determining if it might be a companion of 2012 DA14.

Did anyone get a photo or video? I would have liked to but my camera on my phone is crap and I was in the car and saw it off in the distance. Thought I was seeing things but obviously not lol

Saw it on the freeway heading north from irvine. Looked huge.

To me it was looking like it was moving north but up & down like it was droping into the sea.

@abc7 was asking for pics on twitter. Maybe they'll find footage from an earth cam.

Saw in Hollywood same time as poster in San Diego...wonder if it was the same one...very bright and green...

Oh wow good this one got a lot of attention I'm sure something will surface as far as pics and videos. To those of you guys that say you are sad you missed it I totally could have gone without seeing that and would like to trade haha :-p

Angelenos Report Seeing Meteor Light Up the Sky

Several Southland residents late Thursday reported witnessing a bright light zoom across the sky.

Dozens of sky watchers told the American Meteor Society that they saw the fire ball. People in Ventura, Anaheim, Van Nuys, Los Angeles, Paso Robles, San Francisco and Santa Barbara posted on the group's website.

In an email to NBC4 News, Laguna Hills resident Patric Barry said he spotted the meteor out of his living room window at about 10:35 p.m
