Who Thinks "The Bible" Is "The Word of God"
Actually the holy bible is not the word of God, but it happens to be "The Words of God".

God's Spirit can make the written words come alive to you (the act of revealing them to you).

But the scriptures testify (explain) that "The Word"...Is a totally different animal than the scriptures...For more proof, see these two links:

Re: Who Thinks "The Bible" Is "The Word of God"
Jesus warned that the scriptures are not sufficient to assure the presence of God's Word:

"And The Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life." (Jn. 5:37-40)

Re: Who Thinks "The Bible" Is "The Word of God"
John 5:37-40
You have neither heard the Father's voice nor seen his form.
But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe.
You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.
But you are not willing to come to me that you may have life.

Here Jesus makes a clear distinction between the word of God, and the Scriptures.
Jesus speaks of His word abiding in you. The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart. Rom 10:8

Daniel 9:2
in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years.

As seen above, the scriptures and the word of the Lord are different.
The word of God is living and active, Heb 10:12
Jesus said, The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life-giving. John 6:63

2 Peter 3:15-17
and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,
as also in all his [Paul's] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;
(Peter also categorizes Paul's epistles as scriptures.)

Matthew 21:42
Jesus saith unto them, Did you never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Matthew 22:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, you do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Matthew 26:54
But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"

Matthew 26:56
But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Mark 12:24
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do you not therefore err, because you do know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

Mark 14:49
I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.

Luke 24:27
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Luke 24:32
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Luke 24:45
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.

Acts 17:2
And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures.

Acts 17:11
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Acts 18:24
And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

Acts 18:28
For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

Romans 1:2
(Which he had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

Romans 15:4
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Romans 16:26
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.

1 Corinthians 15:3
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.

1 Corinthians 15:4
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

2 Timothy 3:15
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Re: Who Thinks "The Bible" Is "The Word of God"
Could it be, that false Christianity is produced by the Bible.

Where did the seed sown by the enemy get their religious ideas from? They got them from the bible, and from the mind of religious men, who got their ideas also from the bible. Just like the pharisees.

Everything is about contrast.

Now concerning "The Word" vs "The scriptures"...

I'll give my reasons, why they are not the same. Below are a list of scriptures proving my point of view.

The word and the bible are NOT the same. Today we use the terms "The Word" and "The Bible" as if they are the same thing.

The scriptures are true, but God, must make them real and alive to you, giving revelation of truth.

Although the bible is true, it has no life apart from God... We see this all throughout the OT and NT...

The Word; In the OT, it was "the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah". In the NT, it was "Peter rise and eat".

Today the so-called church has defined Christianity by "The Book". Why. Because they can control that, via their so-called doctrines, preaching, and one man shows.

They have refused for the longest time to let "THE BODY" of Christ minister to one another as the Spirit leads.

We should all say these words, "Speak Lord, here am I"...So that He may speak by His Spirit, but we don't. We confine God to "The Way" we do church, making him a slave to our agendas to our church services, our system.

History and the scriptures themselves prove this to be true.

During the dark ages, there was no printing press, and people couldn't read or write. Yet we know there were people who KNEW Christ, there was Madam Guyon, and Jean Nicholas Grou, just to name two.

Then of course the disciples couldn't read, but they had the living word, in flesh which was Christ. They lived by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God, as should we...

Jesus speaks of hearing much more than reading. He also condemns the Pharisees for looking to the scriptures, BUT not being willing to come to Him, the word of life.

We must come find a common denominator. In other words what gives us life. What allows for people to receive Christ, to experience Christ. It’s NOT The Bible:

The bible cannot be the one common denominator that leads us into all truth. Because many generations passed with people NOT having access to the scriptures, and many through out time could not read, so the inspiration has to be something else, something everyone could have access to in each age, and generation.

Jesus says my sheep hear my voice, man shall not live by bread alone.

So One is heard, one is read. Many can read, few can hear. One is always spoken, and one is written.

Thus we have interchanged the two, elevating "The bible" above God, above the leading of the Spirit, and above "The Spoken Word"…

The scriptures, are inspired, but God never meant for us to live by them, but instead by the Spirit of promise, leading us into all truth

We would have two types of church, both are part of God's plan and draw a contrast with one another for all to see, in the unveiling. One church is led by the Spirit, hearing his voice, and then we have the other church, those reading and leaning only on "The book".

Re: Who Thinks "The Bible" Is "The Word of God"
Every since the end of the NT church (last apostle), "MEN" have been able to copy the church, or the moves of God.

But not this time.

Even today many hold positions of power and authority in our modern day churches, some are priests, pastors, teachers, and leaders.

Many are respected, and sincere. Some decided at a young age to become priests, and church leaders.

They went to seminaries, and schools of higher learning, much like one may choose to go to dental school, yet they don't know Jesus.

They read the right books, they read their bibles, they pray, they lead church assemblies.

Basically they copy everything you and I do in our day to day lives as Christians.

When the first revealing came, it started with Luther. God revealed grace to Luther. Many opposed him, and many jumped on the band wagon.

Many men found themselves in agreement with Luther, they agreed in their mind, but very many of them, as we see today, never knew Jesus.

These movements turned into divisions (denominations). This has continued even until today.

Men will part friendships, or treat you differently if you question the doctrines they hold dearly. There is no freedom for you to believe one way and me another.

One day I'm your brother because I agree with you, and then the next day, I voice a differing opinion, and the next thing I know your treating me just a little bit differently.

I will never part ways with a brother or divide with a brother over doctrines. The higher command is to Love.

But the Ecklesia can't divide, for she is going to hear the same thing, she didn't put herself into the body of Christ, and she can't take herself out of the body of Christ.

But this next move will not be copied. Those who hear will find themselves distinguished from those who don't hear.

You either hear Him or you won't. You can't fake that. You can't copy what is coming.

Please read and ponder these things.

When it says "The Word" it is NOT talking about the bible.

If you replace each incident where the text says "The Word" with the "The Bible" it will NOT make sense.

IF you really want to know what the scriptures are saying then get this book:

[link to www.amazon.com]

Here's what some have said about it!

"It is the only study tool that I know of that allows an English-reader to quickly examine the complete usage of a Greek word in the New Testament. The Concordance give an exhaustive, summary analysis in chart form of every word in the N.T.

Thus, when I wish (1) to see all places in the N.T. where a Greek word is used and (2) to know all the English words which translate that Greek word, I go to J.B. Smith's Concordance. Normally this is my first step in a Bible word study. Once this information is gained I am able to use other Bible Study tools to obtain a more in-depth study of the Greek word.

A Quick example: Lets say I want to study the KJV Bible word "transformed" (Rom. 12:2).

First I look up the English word "transformed" in the index to obtain a reference number to the Greek word. I then turn to the Greek word (English phonics provided).

Here I find that my target Greek word is used three times in the N.T. Now I "discover" that the Greek word also is translated as "transfigured" when referring to Christ's transfiguration.

The "transformation" Paul desired for his readers is to be like the "transfiguration" of my Lord Jesus. This is a great Bible study tool!"

yes, very easily you can.

A: they were actually about more than just one person, but they were all coalesced, after the fact, into one Jesus figure.

B: they were edited, or flat-out written, AFTER the events. this is a sure fire way to make your prophecies accurate.

Re: Who Thinks "The Bible" Is "The Word of God"
everything that ever happened was inspired by god. So picking and choosing what to pay attention to IMO is what has gotten us in this mess. Maybe if people just stop fighting, stop keeping secrets and such things will be shown

but then that would require relinquishing control, which is the biggest pitfall of man. We think we control stuff and get to a point where we cannot run away from what we have brought to be. Then you see what GOD is and why YOU are lost. We're all lost, even those who get it because we're still here.

does not make any thing right, does not make anything wrong. They are all going to go back to the source of it all at some point.

Good info that you shared. I liked it.

I'm not bashing or judging, just sharing thoughts. Please do continue sharing. I'm learning just like the rest of us. I'm just a person, not an authority on anything so I'm not trying to discredit or disprove you. What you're saying is logical in the way that you present it
