Watching the CNN's overview of fiscal cliff talks
Right now on CNN they are talking about the major highlights of the decisions made from fiscal cliff summit. 2 of the bazillion points hit on were:

- No more paychecks to the mentally ill
- Removal of marriage tax benefits.

Very interesting that they are starting to really hone in and target various groups now. Before it used to be like based on tax cuts for individual pay classes/rates or statuses or something else.

Yea but this is seperate from the sequestration...the sequestration won't be effected until March 1st. This was the fiscal cliff stuff that was signed into action. So someday the mentally ill checks will stop as well as marriage tax benefits.

If I might add, with the defense cuts and the sequestration also...MSNBC said last night we can expect 1 in 4 to 1 in 6 service members across the military to be out of a job. Hot damn, that's a big thing.

They aren't really truly cutting anything.

Wrong. Not sure if I can post what I know or not, but I was part of the involuntary separation cuts.

I know more about Greece than you do.
Still....it's not true cost cutting. naughty

BASELINE BUDGETING cuts only the RATE OF INCREASE.

Basically it brings percentages back to where they were in 2011.
Big effing deal.
