The world has been working on coming up with ways to defeat an alien invasion for decades. You think there was a cold war? Hell no, just a ruse to allow for massive amounts of money to be spent on R&D without tipping of the aliens to what we were doing. If it looked like we were fighting each other they wouldn't have to invade soon. Past that point now where developing stuff independantly isn't working as well any more so they are getting together on things a little more. That and true scientists think all this nationalistic stuff is crap and knowledge should be shared. |
