Quoting: Anonymous Coward 904314 1 onion 1 green pepper 1 red pepper a few garlic cloves a couple of big standard mushrooms 2 carrots 2 celery sticks a broccoli bundle a cauliflower bundle a hot pepper or two (if you like spicy) Chop the crap out of all of it into smaller bits, fry for a few moments in your favourite veggie oil (so that the veggies sweat and steam and are crunchy, but not so much that they become mushy and gross). Makes several meals worth of surprisingly tasty stir-fry, easy to freeze some, use as a full meal or side dish with rice (though the point of the cauliflower is to replace the rice with a healthier low-carb choice). Can use yellow pepper too of course, the above is just what I usually use _/|\_ All vegetable oils are BAD oils! Never use sunflower or canola (canola is OK for lubricating farm machinery, but not much else). The only GOOD oils are cold-pressed virgin olive and coconut. |

I will use the translator later to get the recipe in English. Well, one of your links went to a site promoting a lentil and rice meal, and it WAS good - just made it today. Basically, you prepare your rice, cook it. Take an equal amount of lentils, canned is fine. Take a can of tomato sauce, open it and set it aside. Brown a couple cloves of garlic in some olive oil, add the tomato sauce to it, and let simmer a few minutes. Add some sugar or salt to taste. Add some vinegar - a tablespoon to start, you want a bit of a tangy tase. NOW you take the lentils, spread them out in a baking dish. Top that layer with the rice. Pour the tomato sauce on top. To top it off, if you have some lightly browned onion bits -add that. Bake just enought to warm through. This is based on a middle eastern dish and we enjoyed it!
