Quoting: phoenixe we all know about the LA sinkhole in assumption parish and that it is bubbling. due to this sinkhole, most of us here know about lake peigneur in LA, who is an old kind of sinkhole-event gone wrong. as posted in another thread today, this lake is bubbling now, too. some days ago, there was a thread about a gas leak somewhere near macondo well where the deepwater horizon incident happened in the gulf of mexico. assuming all these happenings are connected deeply underground, and knowing that bubbling gas is methan in all of those places, i wonder where it comes from and why it is coming to surface _now_ . so now my theory: this is formerly frozen methanhydrate warming up due to rising volcanic activity in the ground, now being methane gas and leaking all up the easiest way. now look up these locations on a map; if they are connected deep down in the ground.. this must be massive magma moving around down there to warm all this methanhydrate... any thoughts? More water in the ocean from ice melt...more water = more weight and more pressure. check Post Glacier Rebound Effect. [link to en.wikipedia.org] |

[link to en.wikipedia.org] ehm - something does not add up here, as afaik for example 1kg of ice cream is as heavy as 1kg of stone and is as heavy as 1kg of water (also: 1 liter of water). so the weight - frozen or not - of water in any form should be the same, therefore the pressure it has on the crust should not change at all. edit: glacier rebound effect is different from what you posted, so my answer is for your "more water = more weight and more pressure." statement. The extra energy from the solar flares. The additional burning of rock around Earth's core as it expands. The extra weight on pressure point of the ocean floor namely, The Mariana Trench and The Peurta Rican Trench. What gets subtracted from the equation is volcanic eruption mass. |

Its been commone knowledge and published many times in all the journals. Its happening in various locations all over the World. Its caused by the warmer waters and yes from the internal heating going on in the core. Make sure to credit the magazines you read next time. Its more likely oil water global warming or even seismic activity causing the change in temperature... Take this into account what if the combination of all these elements are causing the methane to escape? Also what will happen once summer comes...? The water above (spring and winter will drain into the salt domes forcing more surface area to collapse causing a rise in pressure causing more methane to escape... This allowing more fluid to sink to the bottom which in turn heats up more methane deposits, ect ect ect... I think the real situation was that the oil companies dug too deep into the caverns. Now an excess amount of methane is circulating the cavern system, which needs to be vented (and fast). Before the situation becomes explosive... Thank big oil for the loss. |

I think it is interesting to consider what makes The Red Planet Red? How? Oops! Too much Peter Pan. Anyway, does anyone know if Mars is said to have had a core before? Or a bigger core perhaps? |

Quoting: phoenixe any thoughts? well putt if you think about the crust of the earth and whats beneath it this might be what makes the earth grow as we all know it has done in the past just look at the continents and you can see how much growth we are talking about. the gas could come from magma and probably does... and sudden expencion could i guess lead to things like a global flooding, mass extinction, days of darkness etc |

But if magma were the direct cause. It wouldn't be the magma its self "heating the methane" But the seismic frequencies from the masses of magma moving which would cause it. This is because the magma layer is hundreds of miles below the cavern floor's surface. I also doubt that the movement of magma would produce any temperature differences so close to the surface (if this were a normal thing many earthquakes would have produces unimaginable fires by this time in our recorded history). So its more likely a common material at that geological range or a material that has been introduced by human intervention. So Coretix fracking theory, or basic geological oil and water movement. I think the real situation is the amount of gas that is being released from these deposits... Humans shouldn't be so greedy and attempted to mine dig and prosper in any area without thinking of the consequences. That is why the epa was originally constructed. These days the epa is bought off to not only allow for companies to plunder but to speak positively about the projects they are allowing to take place. I won't even comment on their Nuclear mistakes. The bottom line is billionaires will do anything they can to make a profit. So when situations like this occur its the politics and politicians involved that are the real culprits. |

Sinkholes galore all over the world for the past five years or so, increased solar activity, meteors coming down and most recently dolphins acting very strange: Thread: 7 Mile Long SUPER POD Of Over 100,000 Dolphins Race Past San Diego - Experts Concerned Everytime there was a large fish gathering or stranding, it was followed by a devastating earthquake later on. See Chile, see Japan. Since the dolphins fleed the coast instead of stranding and given the increased activity of sinkholes with gas coming up and all, I think it's not too far out to expect a big one, perhaps THE big one. Dolphins are super smart and have somewhat of a special connection with humans, they tell you something, you better listen. But everyone keeps making jokes about such "esoteric" bullshit. Well I wish it was just that. Time will tell. |
