When it snowed we would set out a couple large, clean bowls, let them fill up then bring them in and mix the snow with vanilla, sugar and cream to make ice cream. It was good. Quoting: Artlicious Nowadays I don't think I would do that anymore. Especially with all the things I read about snow possibly having radiation from Fukushima.. and other pollutants. I am in Missouri and I've seen more than a couple of my friends post on Facebook that they are making snow ice cream. I want to respond and say it's probably not a good idea, but then again I don't want to be a know-it-all, or similar. What do you guys say.. Snow ice cream, from freshly fallen snow.. Good or Bad? Man, isn't it sad to think, that this is what's it's come to in our world today....I remember those days of eating snow ice cream...but you're right, now I won't make it, or let my kids even taste the snow...I don't think I'm being over protective, I'm just using good judgement. As far as your friends on facebook...don't worry about being seen as know-it-all....if they are friends, just tell them,... they may not be aware of the info you know to be true and may thank you for bringing it to their attention. |
