Re: What's causing my weight gain? Which nutrient am I missing?
Dude if you want to make yourself sick then go right ahead and stop asking for help. But here are some very legit reason why you should have carbs once in a blue moon.

Making energy isn’t the only thing your body does with the carbohydrate nutrients in your diet. Carbohydrates also protect your muscles. When you need energy, your body looks for glucose from carbohydrates first.

If no glucose is available, because you’re on a carbohydrate-restricted diet or have a medical condition that prevents you from using the carbohydrate foods you consume, your body begins to pull energy out of fatty tissue. Your body's next move is to burn its own protein tissue (muscles). If this use of proteins for energy continues long enough, you run out of fuel and die.

A diet that provides sufficient amounts of carbohydrates keeps your body from eating its own muscles. That’s why a carbohydrate-rich diet is sometimes described as protein sparing.

What else do carbohydrates do?

Regulate the amount of sugar circulating in your blood so that all your cells get the energy they need.

Provide nutrients for the friendly bacteria in your intestinal tract that help digest food.

Assist in your body’s absorption of calcium.

May help lower cholesterol levels and regulate blood pressure (these effects are special benefits of dietary fiber).

You're gaining weight because you're body is going into protection mode ! Your timing of eating causes your body to store, you may be hiding from sugars and carbs but your body is automatically creating such inside you ! Your insulin levels are way off ! Body needs food at proper intervals

Re: What's causing my weight gain? Which nutrient am I missing?
with the 3 stalks of celery you're still deficient in calcium, althouth you're good on niacin.

However, these are based on my nutritional needs and I'm a 5'3" 110 pound female, so your nutritional needs, being a male and much larger than me are probably higher. So you're still deficient.

Like said. Go set up a free account at fitday.com. Track your intake. I think you'll be surprised.

And again, WHY are you avoiding other foods??

Because carbohydrates are harmful, and meat causes cancer due to it's acidic nature.
ALL carbohydrates create strain on your system, natural or otherwise!

I have plenty of fat tissue, the body is not pulling energy from my muscle tissue. It is using fatty acids for energy to produce glucose. Muscle tissue cannot produce glucose.

Insulin, Adrealine, and cortisol regulates the amount of sugar in your blood.
Bacterias in the intestines can change according to diet. High sugar, low sugar, high meat, no meat, etc, it adjusts to changes.

Insulin levels are low due to low sugar consumption. That causes a state of ketosis, which causes a spike of ketones for two weeks until the kidney regulates the spike, no harm is done on the body during and after the transformation, and benefits from low insulin in blood are listed in the links I have generously provided previously.

And you don't think the 151 grams of protein from eggs and little to no fiber ISN'T also causing a bit of strain on your digestive system?

And no, not all carbohydrates are harmful. The TYPE of carbohyrdate is improtant. Your brain is an obligate glucose user. It needs carbohydrates to function. In your case I'd say its getting them from a process that involves taking gluconeogenic amino acids and converting them to a form of glucose that can be used by the brain, which is a much more labor intentsive process than just eating a damn apple.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 989322

Your body produces all carbohydrates it needs, so therefore there is absolutely no dietary need for carbohydrates in the first place!

It doesn't require INSULIN to regulate the amount of carbs the body self produces, only the amount of carbohydrates that is eaten.

Both COMPLEX and SIMPLE carbohydrates cause a rise in blood insulin levels. Why is this so hard to understand? Complex carbohydrates are broken down into simple carbohydrates into the body, which is further broken down into glucose, thus insulin, cortisol and adrealine are all released to regulate the sugar flow.

Insulin, cortisol, and adrealine all three being released in the bloodstream over long period of time is HARMFUL.

Both complex and simple carbohydrates are unneeded for diet.

You are consuming more calories than you burn, you eat 2100 calories a day but do not exercise this leads to weight gain, and you can have to much of a good thing, eating to much protein can lead to many health problems especially if you do not use the protein you consume to build and repair muscle mass. The best diet you can have is a balanced one with grains, fruit, meat, vegetables, and even dairy. To much protein can cause heart problems and put massive strain on your kidney's so you probably should not consume two dozen eggs in a day.

I have debunked the need for fruits, grains, meat, dairy in this thread, by showing there is no need for carbohydrates and carbohydrates are harmful.

It is common knowledge among conspiracy theorists that meat causes cancer because it is acidifying.

Every nutrient I can get from dairy I can get from green leafy vegetables or eggs.

I have links showing protein is in fact harmless for the kidney.

2100 is barely above the recommended calories to maintain my weight and that is the absolute max, I doubt I even eat that much in calories be ause I do not eat 400 calories in vegetables.

Its not the diet, its the eggs!

Unless you are buying organic, cage-free eggs from a reputable supplier, you may very well be poisoning yourself.

Its not about how happy the chickens are (although that is a good thing), its about the stress hormones the chickens are releasing into their bloodstream from cortisol and other hormones due to environment, as well as the crap the farmers are injecting into the chickens to keep them producing.

There are certain things I would NEVER buy non-organic. Eggs are one, milk is another. Look into it, this crap is scary!
