I have been to these sites twice, firsthand, very impressive in person but ,honest, the aerial view from GoogleEarth is the most impressive. Stuff is more obvious, that you wouldn't see at ground level, from a satellite view.

For instance, these sites you see everyone visiting are actually TINY when you see from the air.

ALL throughout the desert areas to the south are LITTERED with ghost towns with only foundations left. Thousands of site. Find them yoursel by simply following the ROADS that are still there. In fact study the modern roads and you see that the modern road was obviously built on a PREVIOUS ROAD because there are still ancient remains of an older road.

Also, notice something...the south end of the Dead Sea are MAN MADE LAKES. Look closely at the "dividers". Notice how the lake in these areas is just to "artificial" looking. Look at the perfectly formed shorelines.

These are filled "mines". The tar/slime was the basis of their economy. They would mine a section, then let the water from the sea fill it up, then start another "section", leaving a wall, then when they finished that section, they let the water into it. And on and on.

Look closely at these "dividers" they have RAMPS descending all the way to the sea floor....because they were once MINES.

Re: Sodom & Gomorrah Film
Mount Sodom, at the southwest end of the sea, I believe, is actually where they were stockpiling the "tar" from the mining operation...the piled up seabed.

Does this look like a waterfront real estate development or what?
