Hmmm...very interesting, this will take some time to decipher, but I do see your point. I immediatly noticed the similarity to Nebachadnezzar's statute before it was pointed out. I studied it a bit last year, and looked at the governing powers as they related to the parts of the statute. If you study the length of an anotomically correct man it is nearly perfect in proportion, except the legs are wayyyy too long.

To make it anatomically correct, the feet actually culminate with Yehushua's birth. I was thinking perhaps rather than an end-time prophesy it was actually a prophecy of the new kingdom ushered in with Christ's birth/death.

I wonder if the temple is also anatomically correct...?

If the "AoD" has not already occurred (it may already have, back in the day), its fulfillment might be patterned after Judas Iscariot, whom Jesus referred to as the "son of perdition". Essentially, he was someone close to Jesus, followed Him for 3 years and participated in the miracles, etc. but eventually sold Him out for a bag of cash (the going rate for a slave). Similar scenario as Esau, selling his birthright for a bowl of soup. The model for the offense in question consists of forfeiting/abandoning the spiritual for the tangible. . .choosing material gain/security/comfort over status with God. It's about "loving" your life to the point that you lose it, when we're actually called to do the opposite - we gain true life by giving our lives away or subjecting ourselves to potential loss.

Theoretically, the man of sin declaring himself "God" in the holy place (God's current temple, our body) might be something that occurs on an individual level, whereby a believer commits some act of regression or retreat from obedience or even from martyrdom, for the sake of preserving oneself. I'm reminded of Billy Zane in Titanic - when he climbed into that lifeboat, he did so as a coward saving his own butt and forfeiting any remnants of honor he had left. I think the final "Abomination of Desolation" might be a Catholic Pope offering the "sacrifice" of the Eucharist on the altar of the re-built temple and possibly placing a statue of Mary or some other saint there.

the abomination is when a pack of thieving little shits attempt to act as if they are the offspring or relatives of the person that owns the home in question. they usually set up photographs and portraits of themselves among the portraits of the people that live in the home.
