WASHINGTON – The White House trotted out Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood today to explain that the sequester will take a toll at many of the nation’s airports.

“This is very painful for us because it involves our employees,” he told reporters. “But it’s gonna be VERY painful for the flying public.”


Previously Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano warned of a one hour increase in waiting in line at airport security checkpoints as a result of the furloughing of TSA workers.

Policemen will all disappear

The planes won't fly

Firemen will lose water pressure

The International Space Station astronauts will have to eat their own hair

Your food from China will still come from China only it won't have someone to stamp it as it enters the country and thus will be dangerous

The unrepaired potholes will grow 1% larger

There will be nobody left to deny your Medicaid claim so you will be left in limbo until it can be properly denied

The sequester will result in $22Billion being cut from this years $1.2Trillion dollar budget.

None of this even happened when the government actually DID shut down in the early '90s yet, somehow, today, $22 Billion in cuts will grind the nation to a hault.

Sequestration will cut 2.4% of FUTURE spending. So everything should stay the same.. Just more scare tactics from a failed President and his Communist cronies.

Beyond the treasonous bastards in DC, the real villain in all of this is the MEDIA. FUCKING in the tank media, who sits on their hands while all of this is going on...shirking their God-given first amendment right...no, RESPONSIBILITY to INFORM the public. Agreed! 44 Billion is the reduction of the requested increase. Funding is still going to be there at current levels or better. But the democrats will make this another crisis by affecting things that will hurt people the most so the people will blame it on those evil republicans. The story will of course be, military will collapse, terrorist and Americas enemies will use this as a window to attck us. The poor will die, grandma will be kicked off her resperator and left to fend in the street like a diseased animal, teachers, police, firfighters will be furloughed, and on and on and on. The MSM already has their doom and gloom stories filmed and ready to run non stop to put pressure on the republicans to cave once again. Which the gutless republicans will most likely do.

All of this to force spending to unsustainable levels and crash the economy, cause mahem in the streets, impose martial law and create the socialist utopia the 43% Obama voters, and the NWO want to see happen to America.

I'm not concerned. Several of those proposed towers in AR are right near me and very tiny private airstrips. If private airplane owners want to use the little airstrips, let them pay for the traffic controlers. There is likely only one on that list that would impact the larger regional airport.
