Obama is raising the minimun wage and you think that's a good think?

That's BS. Businesses will not go broke. Each time the minimum wage goes up you nutbags get all in a tizzy saying that businesses will go broke. To the contrary, people will have more money to spend, thereby businesses will thrive and hire more people. Dumbass.

It will kill the economy. Think about it... let's just use McDonalds as am example... They have there "dollar" menu, everything's $1.00 on it...Now you raise minimum wage from $7.50 per hour to $9.00, that "Dollar" menu will now become the $1.75 menu... the people that could have afforded that $1.00 burger won't be able to afford the $1.75 burger, especially if they are trying to feed their family.

You've already got businesss going out of business due to the economy, and Obuumer care, now make every small business pay their emloyees $1.50 more per hour, don't think that the other employees won't expect that same kind of raise also. How can a business, just suddenly be able to afford raises for everyone, in this economy, and the extra taxes the business now has to pay....

We own a small business and won't be able to give all of our 8 employees, it isn't going to just cost us $1.50 per hour for all of them, now we have to pay additional taxes to boot!

This administration is working very hard to destroy our economy, and they're doing a great job of it!

You forgot to factor in the true cost of Obamacare. Raising the minimum wage on top of Obamacare is going to break small businesses. They will cut personnel to survive.

I remember in the 70's when Carter was president they kept raising the minimum wage. They'd raise it, prices would go up. Kept raising it, prices kept going up. It was ridiculous. Someone finally got wise and they quit raising the minimum wage and the prices quit raising so ridiculously. Let's not repeat history...it's a no brainer.

Well if you are being paid $9 per hour now arent you going to expect an extra $1.50 too if a new employee will now be paid what you are making.Common sense says yes.so all wages will have to go up the raised amount logically.
Things will have to go up to cover the cost of the wages so there will be less buying.Spending power will get no better.Are you better off making more if everything else jumps way up in cost...or you get less hours at your job.

It would be better is Dear leader was paid minimum wage and was 1099'd for every personal expense after that.

It needs to be raised. For once, Obama is doing the right thing.

So maybe a corporations profits will drop half a percent and their rich investors and stockholders will cry. Waaa I feel so bad.
