Trixagus horni User ID: 28057136 Netherlands 02/23/2013 03:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | spider has made big web on stairs, stretching right across and between two steps in the past week. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34953246 i've been jumping over the stairs to avoid him. I've seen him, when i walk on the stairs he comes out in the open. i want to vaccuum stairs now what to do about spider and web? feels a bit mean to destroy his home. but on the other hand he might web over the whole staircase. Is he/she only hanging in the web trying to get some insects to feed him/her? You can destroy the web but in a few hours there will be a new one... The spider is much smaller and more afraid than you... If the spider disturbs you, just catch the animal in a glass and bring him outside... Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one. (Friedrich Nietzsche) |

If only he had made the web on the wall or ceiling, I would let him stay there. |

If you kill one, they wait till you're asleep then all its relatives take their revenge. Hence my hesitation to destroy his web. Unless it's a dangerous spider, just relocate the spider. Remember they kill flies. Which is a good thing. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 35001787 United Kingdom 02/23/2013 03:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have a huge spider living in my garage. It has woven like a cocoon and I can see it sitting in there. Sometimes when I open the dorr I can see it runing across the floor and into his cocoon. I just can't kill it, but I'm thinking of taking up a monthly rent. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31653049 you'll be lucky i hear he's a bit of a fly boy |

TXtoasted User ID: 35024533 United States 02/23/2013 03:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | if you allow the spider to remain unmolested and breed, the next generation will feel a sense of entitlement. They will slowly take over your whole home, gradually forcing you into a smaller and smaller area. You must work more just to afford a new home. And since you have less time to clean, other bugs will arrive, feeding off your scraps. Which, in turn, is feeding the spiders, who breed more. When you finally escape the devastated area, eventually another group of spiders will show up and it begins again. The cycle of dependency continues... So, in short, control your borders, eliminate the spider, and STOP THE MADNESS! |
