That place was the worst boondoggle project in North Korean history. The concrete used to build the structure was so crappy that it has warped and sagged and nearly collapsed. There is only one elevator shaft still usable. The facade they are building on the outside is a thin shell to make it look pretty, and 'tourists' will be shown a shiny fake path through the base and up one elevator as part of their usual bullshit to make it look like they are a thriving country.

Problem is, we already know the truth. People starving to the point of eating their children, not one meat animal in the country, people gathering scrap firewood to power lorries carrying farm supplies, etc, etc.
